Spectra woke up.
"Wh- What happened?" she muttered, confused.
She looked around where she was. It was a big mine of glowing Energon. She looked up and saw the tunnel from which she had fallen, with little light from the outside visible. She recapitulated the recent events that happened around her.
"Alright, first of all, I got back my green shard of Energon that the Decepticons stole and I discovered that they're repairing Tarn for reasons I don't know yet. Second of all, I re-encountered Grindor and the Autobots. And last but not least, I've fallen here in this mine and unable to climb back up. Hugh," she groans, "Why is all this happening to me?!"
Her voice echoed through the mine. She then heard faint footsteps coming closer. Spectra got up and started to walk in silence through the mine. As she walked the footsteps stop. She arrived in a larger room that has a lot more Energon glowing. Spectra saw a familiar cybertronian with his back to her looking at one of the room's walls. It was...
"Tarn?"
But as Tarn looked back at Spectra, her optics showed horror when she realized Tarn was no longer himself but instead possessed with dark Energon, recognizable by the purple hue in his optics.
"Oh no..."  she whispered.
Tarn activated his communication device.
"I've found the thief, Lord Megatron," he informed, his voice sounding like a drone.
"Good," Megatron's voice spoke through the comms, "Kill her and bring me the shard."
"Yes, My Lord."
Tarn aimed his double cannon at Spectra and shot. She ducked and started to circle around Tarn, while he continued to fire at Spectra, though he always missed due to her speed. Tarn then shot where he suspected Spectra was going to end up. Such deduction was correct, as the shot made Spectra stumble, before she quickly got up. Tarn rushed towards her and attempted to punch her, but Spectra dodged it. She proceeded to kick Tarn back in the face.
"I'm sorry," she said, "But I had to do it."
Tarn grabbed Spectra before she could react.
"You don't know who I am. "He replied coldly, "So now, die."
Tarn was about to kill Spectra with his cannon, but she, out of instinct, planted her green shard of Energon in Tarn's chest. Tarn, in pain, dropped Spectra and fell back a few steps while looking at the shard planted in his chest, before seemingly being deactivated, his optics dimming out. Spectra looked at Tarn, horrified, thinking he was dead again. The green shard cut deeper into Tarn's chest until it was no longer visible. Spectra slowly approached her hand towards her friend, but she was interrupted with the apparition of a space bridge, causing Spectra to halt in surprise. Megatron came out, alongside Starscream and some Vehicons, clearly not happy. Megatron saw the completely dead-like still Tarn, and his optics turned towards Spectra.
"You killed him?" he asked.
"No," Spectra told him.
"You're lying. You think I am a fool? Or could you explain why he is dead?"
"I could, but I think you won't believe me."
"So you're lying. I'm afraid this is the last time you will have the satisfaction of being a hindrance to my plans."
Megatron swiftly aimed his cannon towards Spectra and shot, and the cybertronian closed her optics.
