Chapter 1 - Back again

Last thing I remember is that bright light. It happened so fast. What happened to me? Where I am? Am I still alive? Is it the paradise? Is it hell? Suddenly, I heard voices.

'' He's getting better. The results show that he can wake up any time from now. '’

'' Thanks Doctor. '' *Sara*

'' Don't worry, he will wake up soon'' *Matt*

'' He has too! '' *Ashley*

'' Ashley don't cry! Come here'' *Matt*

Is it Sara's voice? Matt's voice? Ashley's too?? Is she crying? My baby is crying? Why? I started to hear a little bit better, like it was coming closer. My left eye has opened and I started to open the other. It was bright. I have a big headache. I moaned a bit. The first face I saw when I woke up was Sara's. I was in a hospital room, with Matt, Sara and Ashley beside me.

"JOSH!!" Sara screamed. Matt and Ashley turned by me and jumped from their chairs

'' Oh god, HE'S AWAKE! '' Matt said

'' Matt, Go find the doctor!''

Ashley was looking at me, without saying a single word. She had tears in her eyes. She was shocked. She got up from her chair and walked by me. She slowly took my hand. She was shaking so bad,

'' I thought you would never come back Josh'' Tears was running down her face. She kissed my forehead, it hurts. I moaned and she understood that it was hurting.

'' I ... '' Talking was hard; I felt pain in every single bone I had. I took another breath

'' I ... love you '' I said, in a whisper 

'' I love you too baby. I missed you so bad '' 

'' Wh..what happened ?''

'' Josh, you had a car accident. You ... you’ve been in a coma for 3 weeks. You... '' She sighed, I started to panic

'' You have a leg, an arm, a few ribs broken, lot of damages here and there, your back is damaged... '' 

'' Doctor say that you are lucky to still be alive. You had a hemorrhage but they fixed it. ''

I felt a tear running down on my face. She passed her hand on my cheek,

'' Don't cry Josh. You are here. You are still alive with us. It's the only thing that matter''

The doctor came in the room, with Matt. 

'' Mr. Ramsay, you're awake! You are a strong man sir. I need to do some test now that you are awake, just to make sure you are stable. ''

He put a light in my eyes to do some check up and when I saw the light, I panicked. I started to shake, scream and hide my face. I couldn't even handle it for a second. The doctor stopped right away, knowing that I was scared. After a couple test, he left the room, saying that the fear of lights could be a trauma from the accident.

I was alone with Matt, Sara and my little sweetheart. And suddenly, a thought came through my mind :

'' The baby.. Ashley.... the... baby. '' 

She came to me, wiping off a tear, 

'' Josh, I  ‘’

''No..no no please, no... '' 

'' I ... lost it. I lost the baby '' 

''H-h-how ??'' I said, in tears.  She took my hand and she held it tight
