Chapter 9 - The strands in your eyes

IM SORRY IM SORRY, IT TOOK SO LONG !! But here it is, chapter 9 :) 

‘’What the...Josh?’’

‘’Room Service my lady’’ He smiled and I ran to kiss him grabbing his cheeks. I didn’t thought that I only had a blanket around me. When I realized it, I was almost naked. Josh looked at me from my feet and stopped at my eyes.

‘’Kinda love this welcome’’ He laughed

‘’Sorry I didn’t know it was you’’

‘’Well don’t be sorry, I like that. Been awhile since I saw you in such simple...clothing.. ‘’ He winked at me.

‘’Oh shut up and come in!’’  I grabbed his bag and he followed me in the room, with his walker thing to help him. He looked pale, more than usual and I could clearly see that he lost weight.

‘’Can you tell me what the heck you’re doing to my hotel room, at the other side of the country, at 5 am?’’ I asked him, while he was sitting on my messed up bed. He took my hand and I sat beside him, putting myself under his arm as he wrapped it on my shoulders.

‘’Welll....... I wanted to be with you for our anniversary. And... I wanted to be in the same town that we met for the first time. Me and the girls planned everything. They came to pick me up at the airport. I’ve been here for like an hour I think.’’ He stopped for a few second and continued :

‘’Look.. I know I’ve been wrong lately and I am so sorry for that. You are the only thing in my life who feels right to me. And you don’t deserve to be push like that, what I’m doing is wrong and I know it. I just need you around me to get through everything. It’s hard you know.. Wanting to start again and failing every single time. But when I think about you and me, about the wedding, about having kids... everything seems to come clear again and it helps me. But you need to trust me when I say that everything will be okay’’ He kissed my hand,

‘’ Having this kind of talks with you is hard. You know me, you know how great I am with talking. But I want to make sure you understand how I feel’’

‘’ Josh I -   ‘’ I looked up to his eyes and I decided to not argue anymore. It wasn’t worth it.

‘’.. I love you. And this is so romantic. It’s gonna be a great anniversary.’’

He smiled and took me in his arms. We stayed together for a few minutes, just hugging and wrapping my arms around him. I could feel his chest more than the usual. It was kinda weird.

‘’Josh... did you lost weight? ‘’

‘’ Well... Yeah, I guess. Maybe the pills did that, I don’t know... ‘’

‘’Ohh, and how is it going with those pills? Does it help your back? Do you feel less pain? I see that you can walk so I guess it’s better’’ His mood suddenly changed

‘’ Well.... I guess it’s okay .. it’s better. Can we just not talk about this please?’’

‘’ Sure...  I’m glad you’re here ..’’

‘’ Me too honey. We should get to sleep a few hours before leaving for Moncton. Big day in front of us!’’ He smirked at me,

‘’Perfect then, Ramsay, let’s go to bed. ‘’ I winked at him as I pushed myself into the bed. He came on the other side and we got under the blanket. He closed the space between us with taking me in his arms. I turned to face him and kissed his forehead.

‘’Do you even know where the girls went after the airport? ‘’  He laughed,

‘’ They got another room. They will leave for Halifax a few days later than you were supposed to. They’ll wait that our vacations is over, so you can go too. ‘’
