20: Reject

Alright so I'm going to make this chapter as good as a can... Bear with me.. The next couple chapters lead up to the tour!!!

Chapter 20: Reject

(HARRY'S POINT OF VIEW)

"I am innocent!" I said as Avery walked up to me. "I did nothing wrong!"

"Harry! Calm down! I wasn't accusing you. But, what happened?" Avery asked.

I started to look down at the floor.

"Harry!"

"Okay well, we were talking our little fight out, and she was done explaining. I had started to explain and at the end of my little speech I said that I could potentially fall in love with her....." I trailed off and avoided her eye contact.

"And then she just, fainted?" She seemed unsure of herself. "She's never gotten lightheaded and fainted before..." Then she trailed off. "She must like you more then I thought."

I laughed at her response.

"Harry! This is no laughing matter!" Was she mad now?

"Alright, alright. I'm sorry missy." I smirked at her and she stuck her tongue out at me.

She giggled and smiled a little. It quickly disappeared.

"We need to get down to business! What room is she in?! Where is her nurse?! When can we take her home?! Did you get answers to any of this Harry?!"

"AVERY! Calm down!!! She's in the room right over there! She's just sleeping now and she should wake up here soon. She should be able to take her home tonight." I said trying to reassure Avery. "Take some deep breaths."

She breathed in and out deeply and went over and sat down. In came the rest of the gang.

Louis and Eleanor came sprinting in and said in unison, "Is she okay?!"

"Yes, she is fine. She just fainted and I didn't know what to do, so I called the hospital." I replied.

Seconds later everybody else was there. Niall ran up to Avery and started shooting questions:

"Is she okay, Avie?! What happened?! Is everybody alright?!" He was almost as frantic as Avery.

Avery sat there looking like she was going to faint too. I quickly went over to Niall to save Avery from a heart attack.

"Niall, she's fine. But, Avery won't be if you keep pressuring her!"

"Alright, alright." He sat down and took deep breaths. Deja vú?

Zayn, Perrie, Danielle, and Liam were over in another part of the room chatting about what happened and the three of us had walked over to Amanda's room to see if she was awake yet. She wasn't. But we wanted to be there when she woke up.

About an hour passed and Amanda finally woke. Her eyes fluttered and I was greeted by her stunning green orbs, just like mine. Except hers were filled with shine.

Since we had been waiting an hour, everybody was sparsed around the room in chairs slumped over. Everybody but me.

Her eyes fluttered open and I ran to her side. "Amanda!"

She shifted in her bed and looked at me. "Hi Harry." A smile started to form on her face.

She looked stunning, even for being in a hospital for 5 hours.

I bent down and kissed her forehead. "Alright, since you're awake babe," I paused for dramatic effect. Everybody looked up. "Will you go out with me? Amanda Lynn Samuels?"

Her eyes quickly widened like they had just a few hours ago when I told her I could fall in love with her. But this time, she didn't faint.

"Oh, Harry. I think you already know my answer..." She rose herself up and she gave me a hug. I kissed her forehead. "I think we should stay friends."

At that exact second she said 'friends' my mouth dropped. Everybody lifted their heads and came alert. Almost as to say 'you said what?!'

"But I thought that's what you were wanting, by giving this big speech?!" I said completely shocked.

"Harry, give her a break. Maybe she's hallucinating?" Niall came to my side.

"She's gotta be, 'cause I've never been rejected." I was so astonished.

"Harry, maybe you two should just take a break and be friends for now. Maybe it's best?" Now Avery was at my other side.

Amanda had gone back to sleep through all of this and everybody else was still in shock with me. How could I have been rejected after all I just confessed? Maybe I still should go for Avery. Maybe I still have a cracked open door there? Whatever happens is going to benefit me. Either way I will get a twin.
