CHAPTER FORTY FOUR - RECONCILED

Eliryce

"You okay, Eliryce?" agad akong napatingin kay Cross ng tapikin ako nito sa balikat.

"Yeah, I'm okay." sagot ko at nginitian ko ito.

We're now currently waiting para magsimula na yung fan signing event. Actually, last day na ito kaya sobrang daming tao. We'll have our break for the next few weeks, finally. Nararamdaman ko na rin yung sobrang pagod at medyo namamalat na rin yung boses ko. Iba't ibang mall shows ba naman halos araw araw.

I tried my best to stick my eye on the table pero agad akong tinraydor ng mga mata ko. I lifted my face up and scanned the whole venue and the fans that were lining up to have a fan sign with us, but she's still not here and it's been a week now since I last saw her.

Did she finally give up?

I took a deep breath at mabilis ko ng ibinalik yung focus ko sa table dahil magsisimula na rin yung fan signing event maya maya lang. Nilaro laro ko nalang yung pentel pen na hawak ko.

"Are you looking for her?" Cross taunted and smiled at me kaya mabilis akong umiling iling dito kaya natawa ito, "Hey, I didn't even say a name yet."

Nagulat naman ako ng magtilian yung mga fans sa harapan namin kaya nagtawanan lang kami ni Cross.

"Well, I heard someone's buying so many albums since last week, and I asked about it sa ibang mga staff and I can't believe it's her. I mean, why is she bugging you now?" takang tanong nito sa akin.

"I don't really know. She said, she wanted me to hear her out."

"So is she also the one behind those bouquets of sunflowers?"

"Yeah.. I think so." alanganing sagot ko rito.

Saglit itong nag isip bago ito seryosong tumingin sa akin, "Eliryce, I guess you should really hear her out. I mean, who knows, right? I will also talk about it with Kuya Theo. We don't know what exactly happened with them two years ago."

I took a deep breath bago ako tumango rito.

Actually, the first day she showed up here, I was really surprised. I was also actually trying not to faint, she's so beautiful up close. She's even more beautiful now. It's been two years, but she just glowed up more.

I was even more shocked when she said that she wanted me to hear her out--- I mean, may dapat paba kaming pag-usapan after all these years? I know she's happy already. She's married and happy. They even have a kid. So, I was really confused, really confused.

I didn't even mean to challenge her, but that looked like it. She just won't give up coming to every mall shows and fan signing events just to pester me every single day, and I was actually.. touched by it, but I was trying my best to pretend that I was not interested in her anymore because I wanted to protect myself this time. I was scared.. actually.
