You were venturing around worlds trying to find your old friend Dimentio. He ran away a long time ago and every since you have been searching for him. While looking for him you stumbled apon your other friend Mario and a butterfly named timpani.

"Hello Mario,what are you doing here?" You questioned him. "Oh we are just trying to gather all the hearts to stop the chao heart,what about you?" "Oh, I'm just looking for my old friend so I have been roaming around ever since and what do you mean the chao heart?" You asked him confused. "Well...t-" Mario was cut off with another voice that sounded familiar

"The chao heart is powerful and could cause the end of all worlds, however we won't let them stop us." A jester appeared behind all three of you. "Well,well, well if it isn't Mario and his friends." He remarked. "Dimentio go now,we don't need distractions like you!" Timpani yelled while you stared at the Jester aka your long lost friend,this caught his attention. "If you want to look at me so badly you might as well take a picture."

You still in shock didn't reply so he ignored you. "Well if you want the next heart you'll have to fight me for it." He snapped his fingers and teleported all three of you into a different dimension. "Let the fight begin." He began to fire attacks at the three of you,Mario and Timpani dodging it but you barely had time to react. You fell on the ground hitting your head hard so you tried to shake it off.

You got back up to try and fight again but another attack was heading your way. With little time to react you ducked down and barley dodged it. As Mario and Timpani were fighting Dimentio you throw a rock at Dimentio causing him to look at you. "Y/n?" He turned toward you giving Mario enough time to land the final attack on him causing him to fall to the ground and he teleported Mario and Timpani out of the dimension while you looked at Dimentio.

He was on the ground coughing weakly,he saw your shadow and looked up to you.
"Y/n... Is it really you...?" He muttered weakly. "Dimentio... It's been so long. Where have you gone all this time?" You questioned him. "Y/n... I can explain everything...just give me time..." You helped Dimentio up who snapped his fingers again and teleported us both to a room.

Dimentio fell on the bed tired as you watched him. He looked up to see you. "I'll give you the answers you want but... just promise me you'll tell no one...okay?" You nodded at him.

"Well long ago before I ran away I learned about the chao heart that can give ultimate power to the user. I thought I could try to get it myself but I couldn't so I joined our leader,Count bleck. He promised us a world out our own so I decided to help and betray him when I finally get my hands on the chao heart. And after that I would try and find you again so we can reunited but.. I guess I must have been a horrible friend for running off like that... I'm sorry." He explained.

He looked at you sadly but you hugged him. "It's okay... As long as your here with me then it'll be fine. But I'm upset that you didn't tell me... I spent most of my years trying to find you..." He put up a little smiling before embracing you.
