"RJ where the hell are we?" I groan while walking away from our crappy, broken down ship.
"Well we are on Tatooine. We are-"
"Looking for someone to take us where we need to be. A pilot. And you think there will be one here?" I look down at my small droid friend walking next to me, putting my hands in my pockets.
"Yes. If I'm correct there should be a very skilled pilot here on Tatooine" He looks up at me as we approach a building. "Here."
"Here? What's this place supposed to be?" We stop at the entrance as I cross my arms and look down at him again.
"They've just built this, a Cantina I believe. Should be a nice spot" He explains and starts walking into the Cantina. "Let us go then"
"Hey RJ wait! You can't just walk away from me" I grab his head stopping him in his tracks. Then I pull him back in front of me turning him around.
"Sorry you're right" He beeps a few times at me giving me some attitude.
"Well maybe if you didn't get yourself lost for three days then we wouldn't have this problem" I roll my eyes as we walk in to the very noisy Cantina. "Are you sure he's here?"
RJ is silent for a few moments, looking around the room. When I'm about to say something he begins beeping before turning to me, "There! That's him!"
"Him? The guy with the Wookie?" I check, but he doesn't answer me and just makes his way over to the two. RJ starts tapping on the man's leg, I quickly run over and pull him back. "I'm sorry, excuse my little droid friend here"
"It's fine. Do you need something?" The man and Wookie watch me and RJ closely as I sit down across the table from them.
"Yes actually. You're Han Solo right?" I ask, the two share a look with each other then look back at me.
"Who's asking?" He furrows his brows at me and RJ.
"Where are my manners" I chuckle looking down at RJ who's buzzing nervously. "I'm Leo Bridger. And this here is my little droid RJ-44 or just RJ for short"
"Pleasure to meet you both" He opens a small hatch bringing out a small arm and waves to them before retracting it back into him.
"He can talk? I thought droids like these usually just... well beep" He raises an eyebrow curiously at me.
"That would be my doing. I thought he'd like to talk so.. I found the right parts, figured out how to interpret the small voice box into him without damaging anything. And now he talks!" I laugh putting my hands up to RJ as if I was presenting him.
"I'm very grateful he gave me the power to talk like you humans do instead of talking in droid" He explains to them happily.
"That's a pretty neat talent you got. But you never told me what you needed kid" He leans back in his seat, crossing his arms at me.
"Kid? I don't think I'm that much younger than you" I roll my eyes mimicking his arms crossing back at him.
"What do you want?" He asks again, a little more annoyance in his voice this time.
"I heard you're a hell of a pilot. And that you've got hell of a ship" I lean forward placing my arms in front of me on the top of the table.
"You heard correctly. What's it to you kid?"
"We need a pilot with a ship" RJ chimes in.
"Our ships busted. We need to go far and our ship won't make it to hyper speed. So we need you to take us somewhere so we can finish our mission then take us back." I explained trying to be vague as RJ had told me to be earlier.
"Not happening" Han taps his hand on the table and stands up.
"What? Why!" I exclaim quickly standing up to my feet.
"Sorry kid. That's not what I do. Come on Chewy" He motions for his Wookie friend to follow after him starting to walk away from us.
"Wait! RJ lets go" I quickly run after them with RJ trying to stay as close as possible. "Han wait! Please take us, we need to finish this mission!" I whine following them out of the Cantina.
"Not my problem" He waves me off still walking towards their ship.
"Come on! It won't take too long, then I'll be out of your hair!" I quicken my pace to now walk next to him. "I'll give you a cut! You can have whatever's left over after we buy us our own better ship!" I try and negotiate with him.
"Go away kid. It's not happening. Chewy" He says making me confused. Then Chewy stands in front of me, stopping me and RJ in our tracks.
He growls something in Wookie at me as I put my hands up in defense. "Look. I just want a new ship! I can't do that by myself. I need a ride that's all. I'll pay you I swear! Just give us a ride" I try and plea with him as he stops and shakes his head. Chewy turns to Han and starts growling at him. "I agree with the Wookie! You should let us hitch a ride"
"You can understand him?" Han spins around and walks up to us now standing next to Chewy.
"I've met some Wookies who taught me to speak there language a few years back." I chuckle nervously and shrug looking down at RJ who's hiding behind my legs.
Chewy growls again making Han groan. "Why do you constantly have to go against what I say?" He shakes his head putting his hands on his hips sighing.
Chewy turns to me and roars. "Jakku. Please?" I ask again plastering a nervous smile on my face.
Chewy grumbles to Han who rolls his eyes and groans. "Fine! But you're giving me my cut got it? Then I don't want to help anyone again" He grumbles, "Come on."
"Yes! Thank you!" I cheer and pick up RJ to carry him along with us.
"We really appreciate this" RJ beeps happily afterwards as I hear Han groan again.
"Thank you too big guy" I chuckle giving Chewy a fist bump as he roars to me.
"Just get the hell on the ship" Han rolls his eyes standing at the entrance of his ship.
"Wow.. look RJ. It's THE Millennium Falcon" I look up as we enter the Millennium Falcon, ready to finish our mission.
