Chapter 21

I hurry forward grabbing her wrist before she can go inside. "Stop will ya! I need to talk to you Kyly."

Kyly rips her arm out from my hand and turns to face me. "About what Leo? Your little girlfriend?" She grumbles glaring at me.

"No... Er well yes. Firstly, she's not my girlfriend yet." I sigh as she looks at me confused. I go to continue what I was saying but she quickly cuts me off.

"What do you mean yet?" She queries stepping forward, getting closer to me.

"I haven't asked her yet. This is... New." I chuckle awkwardly as she just squints her eyes at me.

"So what is it then?" She asks while continuing to slowly inch closer to me.

"I just want to say I'm sorry. I really have missed you! But not in the way you were hoping. I hope you aren't mad at me the whole time we are here" I sigh rubbing my forearm as she stands quietly for a few moments.

"I'm not mad at you." She sighs ruffling my hair making dirt cloud form from my head. "You're a mess." She chuckles wiping the dirt from her hands.

"You're not?" I raise an eyebrow at her while she smiles at me.

"Nope. I'm actually happy you're here. I was a little sad at first but now I'm just happy you're here." I see a small smirk form across her lips making me a little suspicious.

"So we're good?" I raise an eyebrow at her as she laughs.

"Yes stinky we're good." She teases me as I shake my head chuckling.

When I shake my head more dust comes out from my hair, "I really do need a shower huh?" I run my hand through my dirty hair as she laughs.

"Definitely. Come on I'll show you to the shower." Kyly smiles grabbing my wrist, starting to pull me towards the house.

"What about my clothes?" I query as we get to the backdoor.

"I'll wash them and leave them to dry. Don't worry I'm sure my dad will lend you a shirt and some bottoms." She pulls me into the house and starts walking us to where the others are.

"Thanks Kyly" I smile at her as she looks back at me.

"No problem." She smiles as we approach Qi'ra, Gil and RJ. "Hey dad, Leo's going to shower really fast while I wash his clothes. Is it alright if he barrows some of your clothes?" Kyly queries letting go of my wrist.

"Of course! Let me go grab him something that should fit him." Gil gets up from where he was sitting and heads to his room.

"You are pretty sweaty and dirty." Qi'ra looks over at me with a smirk across lips.

"You know you could join me if you'd like" I smirk, winking at her as she laughs.

"I think I'll pass on that" She shakes her head chuckling as RJ beeps in amusement.

"Aw you're no fun." I pout as she rolls her eyes and looks over at RJ.

Then I feel Kyly grab on to my wrist again, "Let me show you to the shower" She smiles and pulls me towards the back of the house.

"I'll be back!" I chuckle making eye contact with Qi'ra as she watches me walk with Kyly to shower. Kyly shows me where I can bathe then a few minutes later Gil walks in with some clean clothes for me to wear. "Thanks Gil, I'll try not to dirty these too much"

"It's alright Leo, don't worry about that. I'll leave you to it." He smiles patting my back and then leaving the room.

I get undressed, toss my clothes off to the side while turning the water on. I stand under the nice warm water, rinsing the dirt off before thoroughly cleaning off. Suddenly, the door opens and Kyly walks in. "Ah! Kyly! What the hell are you doing!?" I yell while covering myself up with my hands as she covers her eyes.
