The sudden change

Lan WangJi woke up next to his beloved, thanking the stars that he was lucky enough to be beside this wonderful man he loved so much.

He watched lovingly, golden eyes filled with love, at the slow rise and fall of the bare chest of his husband, the soft snores sounding ever so innocent, cheeks flushed a bit, a small smile on the sleeping man's lips.

Lan WangJi sat there for sometime, just watching. His love was filled with another emotion. An emotion he didn't want. Sadness. His pale eyes filled with tears, threatening to spill. He hastily wiped them before they could fall.

He began to place feathery light kisses on Wei WuXian's face, ever so tenderly. The said man stirred a bit, before letting out a small giggle. Wei WuXian opened his eyes, his silver orbs bright with love and affection for his beloved.

"Good morning, my Lan Zhan." He kissed Lan WangJi's fair nose lovingly.

"Good morning, Wei Ying." said Lan WangJi, his voice filled with his feelings.

But somehow it sounded thick...like he was having a hard time talking.  Wei WuXian, being the observant man he is, noticed.

"Lan Zhan, what's wrong? Tell me dear."
No response.

"Lan Zhan?" Wei WuXian asked, a bit worried.

"Love you." Lan WangJi said as he kissed Wei WuXian's eyes, his nose, his cheeks and then finally his lips.

"Me too. I love you so much." The silver eyed male replied, voice gentle and soothing.

Lan WangJi gave a chuckle, earning a surprised reaction from Wei WuXian. It sounded so beautiful, like bells were tinkling.

"Lan Zhan u chuckled!" Wei WuXian exclaimed, happily smiling.

"Mn. Happy." Said the Jade.

Wei WuXian laughed happily before they both got up and freshened up.

Lan WangJi was deep in thoughts, even while freshening up. Wei WuXian went to his husband, wrapping his arms arouns his body from behind and asked,
" What are you thinking, love?"

Lan WangJi stirred awake from his thoughts and smiled a bright smile before saying, "You."

Wei WuXian crimsoned alarmingly and burried his face into the Jade's shoulder,
"First you smile so beautifully and then you say that? Warn me next time, I told you otherwise my heart will give out."

Lan WangJi laughed again, his deep baritone voice echoing throughout the JingShi. Wei WuXian was having too many surprises today.

"Lan Zhan, something is definitely wrong. You are laughing and smiling so much, though I am not complaining, I do have a right to know what is making my dearest so happy." Wei WuXian said teasingly.

Lan WangJi leaned in and kissed his palms, "What can make me more happier than you, Wei Ying? Just having you with me, the world being in peace, with all my family members, it's all I could ask for."

Wei WuXian stared, mouth slightly gaped, " You never talk that much in one go. Lan Zhan, enlighten me. What is it that has happened?"

"Nothing, truly. I am just happy that I am lucky enough to be with you." said Lan WangJi.

Wei WuXian didn't push any longer, kissing his cheeks and heading out of the JingShi to take the classes of the Lan students.

"You are not coming?" Asked the silver eyed male.

"I am, shortly after you." Lan WangJi replied.

"Alright. See you soon." with that he headed out.

Lan WangJi let out the tears he had been holding for so long, his broad shoulders rocking with sobs. "Wei Ying, I am so sorry...I am so sorry you fell in love with me."
