They walk together silently, knowing that at
the end of the today their love for one another
will stay strong but fate won't give them a
chance to live the story, to live the life they
wanted to live, the one they planned together,
the one that consisted of shared laughs,
fears, hopes, dreams, joy, peace and love
He looks at her as they stop then sighing as
he looks down at the floor, avoiding eye
contact as he knows he can't resist her but
the odds are against them
she slowly looks at him hoping to meet his
eyes once more just to see if there is any
hope of them ever making it out of this.
Together.
He takes her hand but still avoids her eyes,
she squeezes it as she knows this might be
the last time they can be this close.
They reach the end of the bridge that they
were walking on, he lets go of her hand.
The man she'd fell in love with just let her go,
after he's said he'd fight for them and he'd
never give up, has just let her hand go but she can see the bitterness in him doing so.
She looked desperately at him, only to meet
his eyes again, crystal-like tears roll down her
cheeks
Him, clenching his fist because it felt like hell
for him to see the one he loves in pain, yet
this time he's helpless and nothing he can do
or say can stop this inevitable fate.
She takes a few steps forward towards him
slowly, he embraces her, knowing it's what
she needs right now, a safe place.
She buries her head in him, he silently sobs as
he holds onto her tightly. They let go of one
another slowly and share one more kiss.
She knows he doesn't want this and he knows
she doesn't as well.
The people that got between them will now be
satisfied that this forbidden love has ended
but leaving both the lovers broken and lost.
They both walk back from each other
He looks at her and she looks at him
She savs
"May we meet again, in another
reality, my love"
she says with a slight smile "In another reality..
" he savs smiling back at
her
