And I survived! Gladly the hurricane didn't make it to the point of where I live, but like I said last time it did cause two black outs. 😅
The wind was super strong for a couple of days but that was all. I hope anyone who the hurricane hit is ok.
I hope you all enjoy this chapter, let's begin UvU
———————
It had been about two days since Wei Wuxian came to ghost city and he was absolutely loving it! He had grown closer to not only his parents but the servants in Paradise Manor.
Everyone was kind and they had taken to spoiling him with every fiber of their beings, any time Wei Wuxian went outside people would make way but also crowd around him. Anytime he got close to accidentally injuring himself someone would help him out before anything could happen.
At the moment Wei Wuxian was sitting in his playroom with talisman paper and ink. He was going to use the memory blocking talisman but the thing was, he had to take it off to look at what he did and tweak it a bit.
He was shaking slightly and quite afraid to take it off knowing that the second he did all the emotions and memories would break him all over again. He had set up silencing seals and barriers around the room so anything went wrong no one should find out.
Taking a deep breath Wei Wuxian moved his hair and added some resentful energy right on the back of his neck, slowly the seal showed itself and Wei Wuxian ripped it off before he could change his mind and chicken out.
His eyes widened as memories poured into his mind, the memories he had forced himself to forget. He snapped his eyes shut and covered his mouth as an attempt to cover the sudden sob and keep tears from falling.
Even with all his efforts tears slipped through his eyes, he tried to wipe them away but the just kept coming back. 'I need to stop crying. I have to finish this so I can forget all of it live freely...free of the burden of knowing the true cruelty of this world'
Wei Wuxian looked at the talisman he had been using and took another deep breath, trying to calm himself down.
After a couple of minutes he had calmed down enough and had figured out how to change the talisman. Half an hour later he was done with the replica and was ready to wipe his memories of his past life completely.
He looked down, thinking of all his family and friends. 'Jiang Cheng...Shijie, Nie Huaisang, Lan Zhan, A-Yuan... I hope everything goes well for everyone, and I'm sorry.' Tears were still falling down his face but even then, he held a warm smile. 'You will have to wait a while longer to see me, Gege.'
With that last thought he put the new talisman on the back of his lower neck, where the first one had been.
All of a sudden pain shot through his entire body and he had to will himself not to scream. Even with the knowledge or the silence seals around the room.
He had forgotten the pain of forcefully pushing back memories. The first time he had done it, it was only a few memories he was trying to forget, and the second time he had someone who was able to numb the pain but this time he had no one and he was forgetting a whole entire life.
The pain was almost as great as being ripped apart by the resentful energy in his past life...
'...Resentful energy?......Past life...? Oh I must already be loosing my memories.' After a couple of minutes of constant agony it finally subsided at all he remembered was living on the streets and everything after.
"I wonder what baba and A-diē are doing." Wei Wuxian wondered aloud. He felt something wet on his face and felt confused.
'Why was I crying?? Must be nothing since I don't remember.' A wonderful thought passed his mind, 'I can find Yin ShuShu and play with him!'
