chapter fourteen

the silence that seemed to coat the room was deafening , and neither parties seemed to challenge it, espeically the opposed; instead, the boy simply stood in the corner of the bathroom which he cursed for not being just a bit larger- for not giving him just a bit more space in which he could operate away from the man. kiyoshi wasn't quite sure what it was about him but nearly everything in his system went against the male in an uproar, casting anger and disgust and revoltion against him for an unknown reason that quite upset the naturally kind boy. the emotions that rose in him were not ones he enjoyed, nor ones he felt proud of and if anything, more than his physical situation, it backed him even deeper into a corner mentally.

for some reason, the obviously older did not say anything, not even about how kiyoshi refused to speak to him even despite his position of authority. instead, he was silent, observing the boy who seemed to be a shade lighter than usual; a bit paler than his usual honey color, with the sparkle desolate from his slightly widened eyes- desolate, but tantilizing with a natural sparkle that nearly anybody would know how to appreciate. perhaps it was his somehow offputingly beautiful features or the way he seemed to be so quiet not even one peep could be heard out of him that got the male's attention; but perhaps it was other things.

who knew? like father, like son.
like father, like son except for with these set of dark eyes, kiyoshi felt nearly nauseous; absolutely sick from the aura that seemed to be being force fed to him like pieces of rotten food, and even more unsettling was his matched silence- oddly calm, as if it waiting to strike him. it seemed he had leveled the playing field and assuming he was the boy's superior, that was all but normal which brought up the question; just what did he want from him?

kiyoshi couldn't tell; not with those big, brown eyes that could barely withstand the pure sickness swirling through those dark globes of possessive greed.

"i know your face."
"w..hat?" the sixteen year old barely murmured, his voice forced by the hand that was the smile in the man's accented voice. kiyoshi seemed to freeze, even harder then before as he met his eyes and immediately regretteed it; he immediately regretted seeing the smile play upon his lips- the excited twinkle in his eye that could only be one of a genuine psychopath.
"i know your face." he hummed, as if it was a little song- a little hum that made him so excited he could barely contain the small laughs that twinged and heightened his voice like leaves falling off of a tree branch. it seemed to only ground his own suspicion into kiyoshi, who's skinny hands could not seem to stop their shaking- just like he could not stop laughing cruely- cruely, as if he knew something the maid didn't; as if he knew him and it did not treat the sixteen year old well who could feel his heart pounding and imploring its own explosion.

in fact, kiyoshi could feel the panic setting on him like a blanket of fresh snow upon a December sidewalk, cold and unforgiving, getting into every single crack and crevice, forced even deeper down with every single chuckle- every giggle and every laugh. it made his chest hurt, sucking the essence of life out of him and leaving him with no room to breath- he couldn't if he tried and even when he did try it only made it worse.

all he could do was drown; drown in his very own terror until he had plunged to the very end of the pool.

"cosa stai facendo al lavoratore?"
