❛ chapter four ❜when he came to, the boy woke up with an unexplainably bad headache that hurt worse than any one he had ever gotten.
"ugh." kiyoshi groaned, lifting himself slowly from his bed in a dazed stupor as he turned over, looking over at his cat who didn't seem to be frazzled at all. kiyoshi felt as if he would puke right then and there, his ears seeming to ring faintly as he lifted himself from his bed to a weak position on his knees. his whole entire body, from his nude chest to the very soles of his feet felt as if they tingled with warmth from being kissed by the sun leaking out of his bedroom window. the sixteen year old stumbled out of his bed, rubbing his eyes and not even beginning to tend to his messy hair.
though he had not looked at a clock, kiyoshi could tell he had slept in late though it didn't really matter anyways. after what had happened yesterday, it wasn't his intent to go back to school anytime soon and he'd make sure he didn't have to either.
the sixteen year old's heart dropped as his memory dwelled on their encounter the night before. despite the puzzling and questioning he had felt he done, nothing could answer him as to why the boy who seemed to threaten to take his life had attempted to clean his bruise- the bruise he caused, and then blanked when he touched him. kiyoshi was left wondering what had possessed not only the boy, but him as well- touching him was something that he should've never even thought about trying, but something about it was .. uncontrollable. like a magnetic urge simmering in the tips of his fingers that he couldn't possibly had let go of.
kiyoshi thought it better not to think about as he walked into the kitchen, dressed only in basketball shorts as he sat down at the table in a bit of a stupor.
"goodmorning." kiyoshi greeted, pouring himself a cup of water as he eyed his mother who seemed to be cooking something in the kitchen.
"goodmorning oshi-oshi." she hummed. "you don't usually sleep this late. are you feeling okay?"
"oh, definitely." the anxious boy assured quickly, his heart plunging into his chest. to be honest, he had no intentions of drinking last night- but he also had no intentions of telling his mother about his mistake. "i just thought since i don't have school.."
"aht," the woman snaps, clicking her tongue in such a strong annoyance kiyshoi looked up at her when she sat down a plate of pancakes before him. "you will have school. no hiding."
"but," kiyoshi started, his voice wavering in desperation as the pregnant woman carefully sat dow across from him with a stack that was most definetely meant to fed two. "mo-""no buts." she finished, beginning to pour syrup over her pancakes. "in fact, you will come with me today. that boy is going to apologize to you, and i won't have anything else either."
kiyoshi stared over at his mother, his almond-shaped brown eyes wide as he practically begged her with a simple look. the woman, who loved to spoil her son and was extremely weak willed when it came to him simply swallowed, looking away before she attended to her pancakes.
"mama," kiyoshi whined like a child throwing a tantrum as he threw his head back dramatically. "ljiwaruda."
"not true." she huffed, sort of brushing his statement off before she tapped his plate. "now eat. you need your strength."the sixteen year old had no choice but to listen, beginning to cut off a bit of the fluffy pancake and chewing on the small piece that was unsurprisingly good. still, the naturally sweet flavor couldn't distract kiyoshi from the nausea growing in his stomach. after last night, he had no intentions of purposely facing that boy ever again, especially not after what had happened. it didn't help that he was embarrassed by it, and now he was to be forced to confront him about something kiyoshi simply wanted to leave in the past. it could've been so simple- but no.
