What goes down in the science lab

Chapter 3 ~ Kaeya's house

"You actually came." Kaeya was a tad bit surprised when he saw the blonde standing there. Noelle and Zhongli were also with him, seeming to have just come out from class.

"We were just about to head to football practice. I see that you and Bedo are getting along well?" Zhongli smiled at Kaeya as he approached the 3.

"Barely." Kaeya sneered at Albedo, who just stuck out his tongue.

"Well, don't kill each other." Noelle teased before the 2 walked off.

"So, shall we proceed?" Kaeya bowed a bit so that he was eye level with the shorter blonde.

"Yes." Albedo took off to the gate, waiting for Kaeya to take the lead. He did so and they made their way to Kaeya's house. The dark skinned male attempted to strike up a conversation but Albedo just ignored him.

K: Playing hard to get, eh? Let us see how you are against this.

"Excuse me? Mr Flirty? You the-" Albedo had been trying to get Kaeya's attention for the past few minutes. But once he responded, Kaeya grabbed Albedo's free hand and pulled him in. Now pressed up against the taller male, Albedo was at a loss for words.

"Mr Flirty? You wanna play that game, do you now?" Kaeya traced a finger across the blonde fluffy mess called Albedo's hair and down to his chin. He tilted Albedo's face so that they were now staring into each other's eyes. The shorter male felt himself get lost in those unique star shaped pupils so much that he didn't even notice Kaeya had gotten closer to his face. The finger on his chin soon turned into his whole hand cupping the blonde's smaller face.

"What interesting eyes you have." Albedo finally said. This stunned Kaeya for a bit as this wasn't what he expected from the nerdy alchemist major blonde. "I must study you."

That was more like Albedo. Kaeya let go in frustration and continued their walk in silence. It was either this boy did not know how to flirt, was seriously disinterested in him or he just didn't care.

"Hey dad." Kaeya knocked on the door. Albedo, confused, followed Kaeya inside. There was a man with hair as red as Diluc's and in the same style. But his face was more weathered and calmer than his son, who was always glaring at everything 24/7.

"Kaeya! How was your day at school? Oh, and who might this be? I'm Crepus." The man walked up to Albedo and shook his hand. Albedo was a bit taken aback by his polite nature, completely unlike Kaeya and Diluc.

"I'm Albedo. I'm Kaeya's science project partner." Albedo replied, bowing slightly as he did in sign of respect.

"My, what a polite young man. Now, don't just stand there in the doorway and come on in! I was just about to finish making dinner." Crepus welcomed the 2 in and led them to the living room. Diluc, Jean, Lisa, a girl with short magenta hair and pale gray hair and a girl with fluffy light green hair and gold eyes were already there.

"I didn't know you were popular with the ladies, Luc." Kaeya joked as they walked to his room. He only recognized the magenta haired girl as his friend, Rosaria.

"Oh shut up, Kae. You're just jealous that you flirt with them and you still have no bitches." Diluc rolled his eyes at him. Kaeya was about to retort when Albedo interrupted him.

"Sucrose. I assume you have been up to date with your alchemy?"

"I have, Albedo. It's still not as good as yours but I think I'm getting there." The green haired girl replied to him.

K: So there's another fucking science nerd.

"We should go now. Project." Albedo grabbed Kaeya and pulled him away from the group. They went to Kaeya's room and sat on the floor.

"So, like what you see?" The blue haired male grinned as he saw Albedo look around the room.

"It's alright, I guess. Hey, I'm wondering about your dad." Albedo took out the few books in his bag. He opened his notebook and waited for Kaeya.

"He's not my real dad." Deciding to get any confusion out of the way, Kaeya straight up told him.

"Oh, then that would explain how you are so mean." Albedo let a small smile appear on his face as Kaeya stared at him in shock. To prevent any comebacks, Albedo began the project. Several hours later and they made good progress for the first day. Kaeya was asleep from all the science he had to listen to. Albedo, however, was still awake but only just.

"You staying over or going back?" Diluc was in the doorway. He moved to the sleeping Kaeya and carried him to the bed.

"I'm gonna go back." Albedo got his things and left. Without taking a second to look back, Albedo hurried out the door, thanking Crepus for his hospitality and almost ran back to the dorms.

A: Ah, they're going to be so worried...

He finally made it to the building and he ignored everyone who asked him what's wrong and why he was rushing.
