Chapter 9 ~ The 2 dates

"Hey, um...you're close to Zhongli right?" Whatever Childe was going to say, he was definitely nervous about it.

"Yes?"

"Tell him...that I'm sorry...and I hope he'll still be my Xiansheng?"

"You can tell him right now. He's right there." Albedo pointed at the brunette leaving Xiao's dorm. Childe nodded and then ran after Zhongli. Albedo left to find Sucrose and Mona. Kaeya watched him run off, feeling a tad bit angry at himself. If he wanted to spend time with Albedo so much, why did he let him go? Why couldn't he say 'do you want to hang out now'?  And why in Teyvat would he ever stop to help him compared to Sucrose? He was always with her and Mona so it made no sense for Albedo to suddenly side with Kaeya.

"Teyvat to Kae? Are you there?" Diluc had hit the back of Kaeya's head. Kaeya snapped his head around to face Diluc.

"I'm here! I'm here!" Kaeya nearly fell off the rail he was leaning on if Diluc didn't catch him by the collar.

"We're going out now. They asked me to get you. Childe said he would meet us there."

"Alright, alright. Now let me go."

"Fine." Diluc let go of Kaeya and he fell to the floor. He turned around and rejoined the rest. Kaeya let out a small sigh as he continued to stare at Childe awkwardly talking with Zhongli. It was nice that his relationship with Noelle was normal. Maybe a bit too chaotic but he at least had a strong relationship. Ever since Diluc and Kaeya had a massive argument, they fell out. Now they barely spoke with each other anymore. And most of their 'conversations' were petty little arguments over stupid things.

"Guys! I did it!" Childe ran up to them, very red and very sweaty.

"Did what?" Itto asked.

"I asked Zhongli to be my prom date!"

"You what?" Kaeya's eyes widened. He slapped himself to make sure this was still reality.

"I know! And he said yes!"

And now he really fell. Kaeya tripped over his feet and crashed into Itto. Because the other male was so buff, he just grabbed Kaeya before he could land on the floor.

"Let's just...no more surprises..." Diluc responded, a bit shaken by the noise.

As they walked away, Albedo had just sorted out the problem with Sucrose and Mona.

"You just added too much Naku weed. Next time, measure." Albedo sighed as he and the 2 girls cleaned the lab up.

"Thanks Albedo." Mona looked tired.

"Read too much astrology?"

"A bit. But It's still very interesting."

"Thanks a lot Albedo. We shouldn't keep you here." Sucrose shyly smiled at him.

"I'll be taking my leave then." Albedo backed out of the room before taking a slow walk to his dorm. Obviously, that was impossible. Slow walking there, not going to his dorm.

"Albedo!" Noelle grabbed his hand and pulled him along with her. Apparently, Gorou had texted her that something urgent was happening. And Zhongli was involved. He looked to the side to see another blonde but with her hair tied up in 2 high ponytails. Her sapphire blue eyes were wide open as they ran. Her recognized her as Barbara, Jean's younger sister.

"First time?" Albedo yelled at her.

"Yeah!" She shouted back. They soon slowed to a stop when they reached their dorm. Skidding to a halt, Albedo fiddled with the doorknob before all 3 of them spilled inside the room.
