Chapter 13 ~ Special news

"I know! They're a bunch of idiots!" Kaeya was talking to Albedo about Zhongli and Childe. They were sitting together and watching both of them get scolded by Noelle.

"Childe, I appreciate the gesture but FOR REX LAPIS'S SAKE! WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME??? THIS IS PRACTICALLY KIDNAPPING! AND YOU, LI! ARE YOU REALLY THIS DESPERATE???" Noelle was screaming at the 2. Childe was just staring at her wide eyed but Zhongli had his head down in shame. This obviously wasn't the first time this happened according to his reaction. Albedo just sighed and shook his head.

"Noelle! Don't go too hard on them!" Albedo yelled at her. She just turned to look at him, nod and go back to screaming at them. They got up and left for Kaeya's house to double check on the project. They had finished but wanted to be sure that it was alright. Instead, they looked at it for 20 minutes and continued to talk shit about their friends. As they were talking, Kaeya couldn't help but feel happy whenever Albedo laughed. It was somehow entertaining to see the tight up science nerd let loose.

"Hey blondie?"

"Yes?"

"Is your offer still open?"

"The prom one? Yes."

"Well then, Albedo Kreideprinz, will you be my date to prom?"

"I accept, Kaeya Alberich."

The 2 of them soon burst out laughing at the formality. But they both knew that they were going to ask each other in the end.

"I was wondering though, why is it that your locker is always filled with letters. Specifically the cheesy romantic ones."

"My fanclub. Pretty annoying at this point."

"Pft. Thought so. Also, I heard that there is a football match or something like that happening soon?"

"Yep. Right before prom."

"I remember that joke Noelle made a while ago. Might become a reality."

"What?"

"Oh you'll see. If you don't, I'll tell you."

"Fine."

They continued to talk crap about their friends before checking the time.

"Oh my archons! Look at the time! I should go." Albedo got up to leave.

"No you can't. It's past curfew." Kaeya went to his closet. He threw out some smaller clothes towards Albedo.

"You go shower and change. I'll get the bed ready for you."

"No. You're going to sleep on the bed."

"But you're our guest."

"But you live here."

This argument went on for a while before Albedo finally won. He went to change and came out to see Kaeya sleeping on the bed. He gave a soft smile before he got on the floor. He then saw a pillow and a blanket on the floor and got down. Before he went to sleep, Albedo texted Noelle and Gorou, explaining he was staying over for the night. Then, he went to sleep. The next day, they both got up and did normal things that people do before going to school. It was surprisingly peaceful without any sibling quarrel. Albedo liked this new change and headed off to school calmer than usual. When they got there, they saw Zhongli, Childe, Aether, Xiao, Kazuha, Noelle, Venti, Ei, Gorou and Itto waiting for them.

"What did we miss?" Kaeya pointed at a very red Zhongli holding hands with Childe.

"We're dating now!" Childe beamed at him, which just made the brunette even shyer.

"What?" Albedo pointed at them, still confused.

"They said that they're dating now!" Venti yelled at him. This wasn't good as students around them heard and began to ask who was dating who.

"Goddammit Barbatos." Ei hit the back of his head before dragging both him and Zhongli away. The rest followed until they stopped at an empty classroom. Well, almost empty.

"Albedo, Kaeya." Lisa walked up to them. "We don't have many people helping us for prom. If you don't mind, could you help us?"

"We're on it too." Noelle told them.

"We should help. Extra credit anyway." Albedo shrugged at Kaeya before agreeing to Lisa's offer. They then began to talk about random stuff but being seated right next to the couple made it hard for them to concentrate on the rest of the conversation.

"Baby, you need to eat more."

"I'm trying. But I'm not used to it."

"How am I supposed to do it if you're as thin as a twig? I don't want to hurt you."

"Childe! Not here!"

"What?" Albedo snapped his neck to face the 2.

"Uh..." Childe stared at them. Zhongli was seated in his lap, busy talking with Ei.

"I heard nothing." Kaeya looked away from them, pretending he didn't catch any part of their conversation. Zhongli and Childe soon left as they had class, and the group of friends got smaller until Albedo and Kaeya left for their history lecture.

After class...

"God it's so boring there!" Kaeya sighed as he and Albedo left. Albedo just looked at him, rolling his eyes.

"Don't let Zhongli hear you or you're gonna get another lecture. And one you don't want to hear." Albedo teased Kaeya. They both left talking about the game which Kaeya confirmed was next week.

1 week later

"Uh..." Albedo was standing next to the locker rooms. Noelle was laughing her head off and Gorou was trying to stifle his laughter.

"I hate you guys so much!" Zhongli folded his arms, clearly annoyed at them. They had forced Zhongli to join the cheerleading squad for once and he was standing there in a bright red and white female cheerleading uniform.

"Love you too Li." Noelle hugged her older brother, still giggling hard. "But this would really give me motivation..."

"Alright, alright." Zhongli sighed in defeat as he hugged her back. She then ran off to the rest of the team.

"We should go too if we want good seats." Gorou patted Zhongli on the shoulder. Albedo agreed with him and told Zhongli that the girls were probably waiting for him. True enough, Ningguang walked up to him, also trying not to laugh and dragged him away. Albedo and Gorou both went to the bleachers and found seats next to Kaeya and Itto.

"Where's Zhongli?" Itto asked the 2 boys as they sat down.

"You'll see." Gorou chuckled as the game began.

(Idk how football matches work so skip to the end.)

"Z-Zhon-Zhongli???" Childe was stuttering like mad. The brunette was standing there, utterly speechless at how hot his boyfriend was and what on Teyvat got him to do this.

"I told you he would be happy!" Noelle grinned as she slapped Zhongli on the back. Albedo was standing behind them, secretly sketching the whole scene. Kaeya appeared behind him and peered at the book in Albedo's hands.

"Hmm, not bad Bedo." Kaeya smirked as the blonde spun around, shocked by the sudden noise.

"Geez!" Albedo glared at him before being dragged off to the others by the dark skinned male. They let Zhongli, Noelle and Childe change (when the couple came out, Zhongli seemed pretty embarrassed about something) and then went to celebrate their victory at Xiangling's restaurant.
