No place for a princess

Ruined plans

At the kingdom
Everyone sat gathered around the table but there was a problem. Someone was missing.
"Where's Alice?!" The king whispered
"I'm not sure cold feet maybe I'll go check on her." The queen whispered back
"Excuse me for a second please." She said standing up
Waking down the hall to her daughters room she knocked on the door
"Alice come out now we need you." She said but there's was no reply
She knocked again
"Alice honey I know it can be scary but you really need to come out." Still it was silent.
Soon she had enough and pushed open the door
"Alice plea-" there was no one in the room
She set off down the corridors. Where could she have gone? She ran past Alice's old room and stopped.
The window was open Alice had run away.
Running back through to the dinning room she burst through the doors
"Alice is missing!" She shouted running in
"WHAT!" The king stood immediately "we must find her!"
The night was officially ruined and after two days the whole town had heard of the princesses disappearance.
