An hour went by and I saw my dad making his way up to me. "How is she?" I stood up nervous on what he might say.

"She's okay. She fought off four rogues by herself while also being injected with some kind of serum. Nothing is broken and her lungs were filled with some dirt but her wolf managed to help her out. The doctor had her on oxygen to get her lungs working well again."

"She was injected?" I asked as we made his way back into his office where my mother stood waiting for him with a cup of hot coffee and a thick sweater. She looked worried by the conversation and my dad sensed it and wrapped his arms around her, rubbing her swollen belly.

"It looks like it could be something to help with breeding. It looks like it triggers a female wolf's heat to happen quicker. We don't know if this was at random or if they know she's from a unique family. They may be trying to breed a mixture of supernatural beings if our theory is right."

"So a vampire werewolf hybrid?" My mother asked concerned.

"More than that," my father replied. "I know her aunt is a powerful witch, her bloodline is rare enough as it is but adding her to the mix complicates things even more."

"Oh my. Is she okay, at least?" My mother sat down shocked.

"No broken bones but the doctor thinks she'll be in heat soon. He wants her here since there is so many unmated males in the hospital's area. I think it's a good idea to, that way we can keep her protected. Do you think you'll be alright, Jaxon?"

I nodded, at this point I'd do anything to make sure she was okay. I have no idea why I felt this way besides the guilt I had about how she was treated but I knew I'd do anything to see her back to her old self again.

"Good, I'll have all the unmated males leave the house and I'll move them to another location. I don't want anything happening, especially with her being injected. I don't want anyone we don't know and trust in this house."

There was silence for a second before my mother sat up saying, "I need to call her parents! They must be worried sick!"

"Don't worry Felicity, I already had someone call them when we found her. Her family is heading over now with her aunt." My dad wrapped my mom up in his sweater and held her. It made me want to do that with Lucille. I shook the thought out of my head.

"Her whole family is coming?" I asked.

"Yes, her parents, and she has younger siblings that will be coming they just need to get out of the Voxe? I have no idea what that is and they're bringing along her aunt and two of her close friends. Honey, you should probably get rid of the garlic and make sure the kids teeth are brushed before meeting them."

My mum immediately stood up and made her way to the kitchen. My dad laughed and smiled as he watched her walk away.

"We'll need to get people out of the house, and in a safe location. Why don't you gather them and I'll get them to the other pack house." My father said, and I nodded and we headed out of the office.

Within the next half hour we got everyone that wasn't the Alpha or the Beta's family out. Sam was in strict lockdown since he was unmated like me and had already turned eighteen already. My mom and Celine, the current's Beta's wife had cleaned up the guest rooms and made it vampire friendly.

"This certainly has been a interesting last couple of days." Celine said and she wiped down a counter in the kitchen. "To think I've lived this long and this is my first tropical storm and my first time coming face to face with vampires. I'm not excited about the storm but very excited to meet more people like us."
