Y/n's POV

*You have chosen Path #4, there is no going back, we wish you good luck with your ending and we hope your choice doesn't have a negative consequence*

...

(I listened to 'Slow Ride' by Foghat while writing this bit)

"Did you hear that?" I say looking at Eddie confused.

"Hear what?" He asks me worried.

"Nothing, never mind," I tell him.

"Are you sure?" He walks up to me, moving his hand to my shoulder.

"Yeah I'm sure, don't worry" I reassure him with a smile.

"Okay," He says smiling back at me, "That was insane!"

"I know!"

"Dude, most metal ever!" Dustin says excited.

"Oh my god!" Eddie shouts as he grabs Dustin's hand and mine jumping up and down.

Dustin and I also jump with him, the three of us celebrating our small victory and hoping that everything will be okay with the plan.

"You really killed it, Eddie," I tell him as we stop jumping.

"Yeah, I guess you really are a master," Dustin says chuckling, proud of his own joke.

Eddie and I actually end up laughing at his joke, which was not very good, to say the least, but it was something we all really needed to hear at the moment.

"Alright, so what's next?" Eddie asks us.

"Maintaining the distraction while making sure we don't die" I remind him.

"Well that should be easy" He adds sarcastically, letting go of Dustin's hand yet still holding mine.

"Hopefully," Dustin says.

"I was being sarcastic" Eddie tells him.

"Right, I know" Dustin in fact did not know.

"Alright let's get everything ready then," I say letting go of Eddie's hand and moving to grab the shields we left on the couch handing Dustin and Eddie theirs before getting my own. Eddie and Dustin grab their spears as the three of us move the stand in the middle of the living room.

"You really think this is going to work?" Eddie mumbles leaning over to me so that Dustin doesn't hear him.

"It has to work because we're not dying tonight" I whisper, hoping that Nancy's genius mind won't fail us this time, not that it ever has.

"Can you two not whisper right next to me, it's rude" Dustin shouts annoyed.

"Sorry," We both say turning to look at him.

The three of us go quiet as we start hearing banging coming from outside, the sound of bats surrounding us as we raise our weapons and prepared ourselves for whatever might come next. We are very obviously at a disadvantage, it's us three against an army of deadly, bloodthirsty demobats who won't hesitate to kill us if given the chance to, the odds don't seem to be in our favour but we can at least try, it's all we can do.

"They have to get tired at some point right?" Eddie asks clearly starting to panic.

"Who knows they're monsters from another dimension, who's to say they can even get tired" Eddie and I turn to look at Dustin full of worry as we realise he actually has a very good, but very bad, point.

"Dustin that doesn't help," I tell him.

"I'm sorry! I was just answering the question"

Everything goes quiet right after Dustin shouts, we wait a second thinking it's just momentary but after a minute nothing can be heard.
