Rebecca and Jill held each other's hands as they made their way towards the tall brick building. The iron gate had a barely readable font saying, "Raccoon City University". Today was move-in day and classes didn't start for another week. Since the two graduates had applied early, they were able to get a room together – on the condition that they'd have to have a third person stay with them. Although this would probably bother most people, these two were more than excited to make new friends.

"Okay so, let's set our stuff in our room then meet Chris in the dining hall," Jill said as she looked down at her phone. "He says he'll save us some spots there and even has a surprise for us."

"Oh how exciting! I'm practically starving," Rebecca replied. "I was in such a rush this morning I forgot to eat breakfast."

"'Becca, you got here, like, two hours before they even opened the doors," Jill laughed.

"Ninety minutes is more accurate and I beat the rush so it I was right on time in my opinion," Rebecca replied in a very matter of fact tone with a bright smile.

The two friends laughed together as they made their way towards their new dorm. As they made their way inside, they were a bit surprised to see that their new roommate was already completely unpacked and sleeping peacefully in her loft bed. Both girls wondered how she had gotten here even earlier than Rebecca did as they quietly set their belongings on their respective beds. Tip-toeing out of their new dorm, Rebecca and Jill made their way to the dining hall.

The dining hall was everything they expected it to be, though, maybe less crowded. It was only the first day of move-in week, after all. It was essentially an industrial-sized all you can eat buffet. The variety of food they had was almost overwhelming – and it was only breakfast time. The girls didn't even have to look around long before they found Chris. Chris was Jill's hard to miss boyfriend. He was an absolutely stubborn jock with a warm heart – pretty much the male version of Jill. He honestly wasn't the brightest but had gotten a full-ride football scholarship back in high school. Despite graduating high school only four months ago and turning eighteen one month ago, Chris was absolutely jacked and ready for the football team he was destined to be on. Jill was insanely fit as well but had no interest in actually playing football. Her main focus was on physical therapy and sports medicine. Despite the two of them only getting together officially over the summer, they were a perfect match for each other.

"GUYS!" Chris shouted loudly only a few meters away. He flamboyantly waved his arms in the air, beckoning them over. "Over here! Do you see me?!"

"Ugh yes," Jill replied in a normal volume. "There's no need to yell when we're right here." She sat down as she finished her sentence.

"Well sure you could maybe see me, but how was I supposed to know that you could hear me?" Chris teased lightly. Jill rolled her eyes playfully.

"So, what's this surprise?" Rebecca chimed in, curiously.

"What surprise? OH! The surprise!" Chris said. He reached down next to him and pulled out three different STARSbucks coffees in three different sizes. "Tada! Some coffee to start the morning off right! For my lovely lady, I got you a large pumpkin spice latte – I know how much you love the seasonal flavours." He gave Jill a wink as he handed her the large paper thermos. "For my lovely lady's lady friend, I was told you like sweet things so I got you a caramel macchiato with whipped cream and chocolate chips." He double-checked the long label as handed the small drink over to Rebecca who was beaming with delight.

"Thanks so much Chris, but, I gotta know, what did you order?" Jill asked taking a sip of her latte.

"Oh this is my normal protein smoothie. I just put it in the same cup as your guys' drinks so it would look like we're all having the same thing." Chris replied with a bright smile.
