Y/n's POV

I plunged into darkness. Voices clouded my mind. "I hate you." A familiar voice said, it sounds like Xiao.. "I'm so glad I got rid of that wretched god, and now you're mine. No one is here to save you. You're all alone. And I have you under my control."

"What are you talking about..?" I stood my ground standing in the darkness.

"Worthless. You did nothing to save the people I killed." Xiao continued. "You couldn't even protect yourself so how can you, a pathetic weakling, save others."

"How could you say that about me..? Aren't we friends..?"

"Tsk. Friends." Xiao snickered and made the most evil laugh I ever heard from him. "We were never friends. I only did what I did to get you to trust me and manipulate you to be in my control. I will help the Fatui revive her and get rid of you and Morax. Now that you're trapped here, you are my possession. You've been my pawn since the day we met."

It felt like knives were stabbing my heart. His words had cut through me and it stung. I wanted to scream, to cry, but nothing came out my mouth. Somehow.. the darkness grew darker as it surrounds me.

"Poor little F/n.. I heard that you've fallen for me. What a shame, if we weren't from 2 different sides of the board, perhaps we could have worked out. But.. Just as how life has a start, it also has an end. And your end has come."

No.. no this can't be true.. this isn't Xiao. It can't be... I knelt to the ground as I cried silently.

"Don't be a crybaby, you've reached your end. Accept it." Xiao's voice was the last thing I heard before I fell deeper into the dark.

❥❥ Xiao's POV

A few days gone by since I confessed to them while they were asleep and Y/n still hasn't woken up. Why haven't you waken up..? I sat next to Y/n on the chair I had pulled over. I just finished patrolling for the moment and entered the teapot to check on Y/n.

Since that day, there were Fatui members scattered all over Liyue searching for Y/n. I'm glad that Rex Lapis decided to keep Y/n here, if not I really would've lost them again.

The karmic debt radiating from Y/n was starting to become more and more unstable and I'm worried that they reached the point of no return. A thought hit me, this isn't Xiao..It can't be..

"Y/n?" Are they dreaming? But they sounded so broken.. hurt even.. by me.. I reached out to hold their hand and said, "Y/n wake up, its just a dream. I'm here for you."

I don't know if it was what I said but Y/n's eyes shot open as they sat up and started gasping for air. I quickly embraced them and pat their back to try to calm them down as I repeatedly said, "You're ok. It's just a dream. You're safe now."

After a few moments , Y/n hugged me as they cried, "Xiao.."

"Everything's ok now." We stayed huddled together like this for awhile until Y/n calms down and pulls away.
