ANDREA HAD BEEN SUMMONED TO A COVEN MEETING, the meetings were usually a bore but recently they seemed to be turning into a witch hunt.

A witch hunt for a certain baby witch.

"She's an abomination." Rosario, one of the elders expressed.

An old man shook his head, disappointed in Andrea, "No, unacceptable." Arturo said.

Another elder nodded in agreement, it was Dulce, "We are already breaking tradition by letting Valentina earn her way back into the coven, and Vegas is on thin ice."

Andrea inhaled deeply, any meeting with the elders felt like enduring a lobotomy while someone was giving her an aneurysm at the sands time, especially when Rosario and Dulce were involved, "She's just a baby. Just because she has vampire blood—"

"I don't care that the child has vampire blood, that is just an incovnice," Nenetl stated, she always been less strict on the rules and regulations, seeing the things in grey rather than black and white, unlike other members, "What I am concerned about is that the child is the product of the evil man that attempted to murder your daughter and other members of this coven."

"She is not her father." Andrea stated.

"Not yet." Rosario quipped.

"Except, she is one of our own. She has barley entered the world, she needs the care and guidance of her coven." Sanse argued, "It's her birth right to be accepted into this coven until she does something."

"Which she hasn't." Andrea added.

Andrea knew she could count on Sanse, they were big second chances and keeping the coven together. They were very pro keeping the family together.

Acalan on the other hand was fifty fifty, his decisions were mostly based on his moods.

"She's a baby, she won't do any harm," he said, "Besides, we can do the sacrifice and power the coven further."

That point seemed to get everyone to agree in accepting Zyanya into the coven. Which Andrea found ridiculous.

"Really? We've been arguing this for weeks and that's all it took."

They all shrugged.

"He made a good point." Rosario said.

Vegas prayed for the elevator to reach the NICU floor faster, today was supposed to be the day Zyanya went home and she was going to be damned if she missed it.

The elevator doors finally slid open, Vegas jumped out and ran down the hall, shooting Havana at the NICU doors.

"Ana!" She yelled.

Havana stopped in her tracks to see who it was. Seeing it was Havana, she decided to wait.

Vegas caught up to her cousin, "She's definitely getting released today?"

Havana nodded, then pushed the doors open as they both walked in, "Yes. I thought you were stuck in a surgery and could make it."

Vegas scoffed, "Please, you think I'm going to miss my niece being let out of the hospital for a surgery."

"They're gonna fire you." Havana said, her cousin had been missing a lot of work and skill labs.
