VEGAS INHALED DEEPLY THEN EXHALED BEFORE ENTERING THE LAB, this was the last thing she wanted to do, but she had to make it up to Havana.

Brian was hunched over the computer, typing away.

She let out a silent groan before making her approach, "Hey Brian."

Brian freezes for a moment before whipping around, to see Vegas, a smile forming on his lips, "Vegas, I knew you couldn't resist me."

Vegas held back a gag, she needed to get through this without throwing up, "I guess you were right." She says batting her eyelashes at him.

"You rethink that offer about me taking you out on a date."

Vegas walks over to him and runs her hand along his arm, "Maybe, if you go get me some coffee."

He shoots up from his seat, "Of course, there's a Starbucks in the main lob—"

Vegas cut him off, "I don't want that bland flavorless crap. I want a horchata frappuccino."

Brian's smile faltered a little, "But that's all away across town."

"Yeah, I know but I really want some but I have a surgery in twenty minutes."

He glanced down at his wristwatch, "Uh, I guess I could run over there."

"Thank you." She continued batting her eyelashes.

He takes off his lab coat and throws it onto his office chair, "I'll be back, I'll try to make it back before your surgery."

"Great."

Vegas watches him run out the lab. Once he's out of sight, she went over to his computer and quickly types in Zyanya's information, when her file pops onto the screen, Vegas pulls out her phone and snaps a picture to show Havana later.

She quickly deletes the lab results and rushes out the room before she can get caught (or fired)

Vegas eventually made it to the NICU floor and greets each nurse as she passes them heading to to Zyanya's room. When she reached the room, Vegas slid the door open and closed it behind her before gently pushing the curtains open.

There, Rebekah sat next to Zyanya's crib. The blonde was sat on the edge of the chair and she was slumped over into the crib. She used her arm as a pillow for her head.

Vegas could see the blonde's chest slowly rising and falling.

She stepped further into the room and called out to the blonde, "Rebekah." Still no movement. "Bekah." Vegas continues to inch closer to the blonde, peering over the vampire's shoulder. Rebekah was out cold, her head rested on her forearm and her right hand laid gently on Zyanya's back. It was too cute of a moment to not take a picture, so Vegas pulled out her phone and snapped a quick picture. Then she shook the blonde with a little more force.

Rebekah gasps awake, scaring Vegas and causing her to jump back. She'd rather not spook an original vampire and risk an injury. "Maybe you should go home," Vegas suggests, the blonde clearly needed some sleep, "You clearly need some rest."

The blonde shook her head as she wiped the grogginess from her eyes, "No. I'm fine."

Vegas stared at her for a moment, she noticed dark circles starting to form under the blonde's eyes, she never knew vampires could get those, "If you're sure."

Rebekah pressed a kiss onto her daughter's tiny hand before pulling away and sitting up, "Havana told me about Valentina being allergic to vampirism. How the bloody hell does that work?"

"Um, I'm not exactly sure," she moved closer to the crib so she could check over Zyanya, "But it's some weird thing but some of our coven members are... I don't know, allergic to the dark magic that was used to create your version of vampires."
