Harry POV:

--------------------

"Hello, Mr. Styles?" the nurse says on the other side of the conversation.

"Yes."

"I spoke with Dr. Norby, and he would like to have you and Anna come in as soon as possible, just so we can check everything with mum and baby."

"The car is already on the way."

"Good. Now, Dr. Norby is about forty minutes out, so he would like you to start with the midwife on call if you arrive before him."

"Good. Good," I say, pacing the floor in the small room, nervously rubbing my hand on the back of my neck. "Thank you."

--------------------

After I get off the phone with Dr. Norby, I call Jeff, frantically explaining that he needs to get everything in place for us to go to the hospital. I just need the car to get here, like NOW. Anna and I quietly sit in the small coat room at the venue where the shower is being hosted. Everyone, I am sure, realizes that we have gone off on our own, but I am not sure if they know that it is because she is possibly in labor. Right now, I honestly don't care. Mum can fill them all in after we leave.

I walk over to Anna, who is back to sitting on a wooden chair in the corner of the coat room.

"Darling, we are going to get you checked out. It will be fine."

Anna is eerily calm. She reaches her hand out to pull me down on the chair sitting next to hers. "Harry, can you please just relax? You are making me nervous," she says as her eyes meet mine, no sign of worry visible in the blue eyes I know so well.

"How are you so calm?"

"He is moving," she says, grabbing my hand and resting it on her belly underneath hers. I feel the gentle rolls and my body immediately relaxes. Just feeling that he is alright makes my whole body smile. "Yes, this might be the start of labor, but it might just be a weird new pain. So, as long as I can feel him, and we get it checked out, we are doing everything we can."

Anna's mom comes in to the coat room. "The car is here, darlings. Everyone knows you are leaving to go and get checked out. Anne and I figured you would be fine with this group of people knowing," she adds and we both nod. I help Anna to her feet, with her mom at her other side, and we walk through the shower guests, as well as the gentlemen that came over from the pub after I left. They gave us all their well-wishes as we walked through all of the people that love and support us on the way to the waiting car.

Mark and Paul accompany us onto the streets in London. Of course, there are a few paparazzi outside, having been tipped off about me being at the pub, more so than the baby shower happening next door at the tea room. They do get a few photos of Anna and I getting into the back of the black Range Rover, but unless they follow us, they will just assume that we are headed home.

We arrive at the private entrance to the Portland Maternity Hospital; met by staff awaiting our arrival. Anna is wheeled in by a nurse, with Paul and I following close behind. Dr. Norby is standing in the hallway. Thank god.
