He grabbed my hand leading me to my cabin, he made me sit on the chair and sweated down in front of me.
"You are my fighter Nandini, you are the only girl in this office who calls me out on my bullshit. You aren't scared to stand in front of me when I'm angry, you aren't afraid of the consequences. You are my little start Nandini, you cannot fall weak in front of some random bitchy ass people. This world is full of cruel people but we cannot let them come at us like that. You are never afraid to yell in my face then why wouldn't you yell in hers, show her where she belonged" he said caressing my cheeks with his thumb
"I thought you knew her"
"And how is that different"
"I didn't wanna hurt you" I mummbled and he took a deep breath
"The only way you can hurt me is"
"Hurting the people you love which is why I didn't know what to say to her" I said interrupting him
"Sweetheart, you cannot let people say things like that to you"
"But she is right na" I asked
"No she is not, I am always honest with you so look in my eyes and tell me im lying when I say you are not even close to being that word. Tell me im lying when I say that you are one of the most important people in my life. Nandini you don't understand how special you are, do not ever let anyone tell you otherwise" he said and he was right, he was not lying, he was being honest with me
"I am sorry for putting you through eveyrhting" I mummbled
"You are not putting me through anything except the fact that I have to see you crying a lot these days. Just smile and always smile, it makes me happy seeing you smiling and bossing me around even though I am the boss" he said making me giggle
"I don't boss you around unless it's your health" he smiled like an actual smile
"Aww you should smile more" I said and he chuckled
"Did you get my point" he asked and I nodded
"I get it, holly fuck balls" I yelled and he glared at me
"Watch your language" he said
"Manik Manik" I said yanking at his shirt

"Manikkkk"
"Yesss" he asked
"I left our coffee in your cabin, mara sandwich bhi" I pouted
"You got me coffee" he asked
"Yes sir" he chuckles at my words
"Lets get your coffee and sandwich" he said and I got up
"Yay oh my goshhh coffeee" I jumped around grabbing Manik's arm
"Calm down, why do you even need coffee, you look high" he said
"I am going to tell bhai"
"Tell him what"
"That you said I look high, do you even know what I look like when I'm high" I said and he chuckled
"You have never even had a drink let alone getting high" he said
"Chodo na" I said as we entered his cabin
he let go of my arm and I ran to the coffee, lifted it up and it was all melty
"What? Why are you sad now" he asked
"The ice cubes are gone" I said and he shook his head
"Get to work, I pay you for working not walking around with coffee" he said and I turned around to face him to see he is in his chair
"Don't make me kill you" I said
"Im your boss" he said
"And I am ahhh whatever" I took my coffee and left his cabin
I finished up a whole bunch of files and it was lunch time so I grabbed Manik a salad.
"Here is your lunch" I said and he nodded
I left his cabin and did some more work then walked back home at 5 after letting Manik know. I got home and put on some pyjamas, now I was lost in this one file when my door opened causing me to jump in my spot
"Hey dude" it was cabir
"Every heard of knocking instead of just opening my door"
"Nope" he said laughing
"Where is navya"
"Coming with some dinner"
"Can you help me bhai" I asked seeing him just scrolling though the shows on the tv
"With what" he asked
"This stupid file, I can't figure out what they want from this deal" I said and he grabbed the file
"I can't believe you two are working" I heard navya
"Come sit, lets watcha. Movie but I gotta figure this out first" I said and she sat down beside me
"So how is the fake dating going" she asked
"Better than I thought, I mean we haven't fought yet so we good, he is actually really sweet, oh but he calls me sweetheart which im not sure what's with that"
"Aww that's cute, told you he isn't that bad"
"I never said he was bad, he just annoyed me adn he still does but I think im warming up to him a little"
"Girl you have heart eyes for him" she said making me smack her arm
"Not true" I said but in my heart I knew it was sorta maybe kinda ahh ya it's true, who am I kidding, he is handsome
"Whose file even is this" bhai asked all of sudden
"Umm I have no idea, I didn't even look" I said
"Girl how are you even working on a file without knowing the client" he asked
"I don't need to know the client to figure out the files" I said
"Oh shit, this is harshad's file" he said and I dropped my pen hearing his name
"Nandini you cannot be this weak" he said and those memories flood back from college
I brought my knees in hugging them, I heard bhai and navya trying to comfort me but the memories were too much
"Nandini look at me" navya said
"Look at me Nandini" she said again lifting my head up
"I can't, he he will"
"He will not, just breath, just calm down, cabir is right here" she said
"Nandu im right here, he doesn't even know where you live and even if he did, I would not let him come close" he said caressing my hair
I shoved my face in between my knees trying to breath while both of them caressed my back
