Chapter 32

I heard noises making me groan a little, I knew it was early morning but I was still sleepy. I rubbed my eyes opening them and found Nandini shivering.

"No no mom, I I did I" she was talking in her sleep

"Nandini" I whispered but that did nothing

I realized she was having a nightmare. I quickly sat up and caressed her back a little

"Nandini, wake up" I said shaking her a little casing her to wake up with a scream

She curled up in a ball hugging her knees

"Nandini" I called

"No no, get away from me no" she said pushing herself away from me

"Nandini sweetheart, it's me" I said sitting putting my hands out to grab her

"No no" she said shivering

I put my hand on her arms caressing softly and she looked up at me

"You are okay" I reassured and she tilted her head a little absorbing my presence

"Manik" she whispered and I nodded

She threw herself on me, I wrapped my arms around her waist getting up, her legs wrapped around my waist. I carried her to the kitchen and grabbed some water.

Placing her on the counter, I tried pulling back but she wouldn't let me. Her grips around my neck and hips tightened more

"Darling, I am right here. Please have some water" I said caressing her hair

"Manik"

"Han Jaan" I whispered kissing her head

"She will come back" she said

"She will not, you trust me right" she nodded in my neck

"Don't worry okay, just calm down. It was just a nightmare, nothing else" I said and she pulled back a little but held onto my t shirt

"Here sip on this" I said placing the glass to her lips

She took a few sips and then turned her head, I put the glass down and caressed her face.

"It's okay, nothing about that was real, just a nightmare, your brain is playing tricks love, it's nothing more" I said and she nodded slightly

I caressed the back of her neck slightly while my thumb continuously caressed her cheeks. Her eyes showed pain and she was still a little shaken up.

"Does my princess want some ice cream" I asked and she shook her head resting it on my shoulder

"Are you sure, I have some brow ice cream and even cookies and cream in the freezer" I said kissing her head

"You have both" she whispered

"Yes ma'am, I have both and a couple other flavours too"

"What time is it" she asked

I glanced back at the clock on the oven

"It is 5:26"

"Sorry for waking you up so early"she whispered

"It's not a problem and you shouldn't be sorry darling" I said kissing her head

"It doesn't happen that often, I guess we talked about it right so I had the nightmare" she said playing with my t shirt

"Do you get them often" I asked

"Umm I used to but then they stopped a while back" she said

"Wanna sleep again" I asked and she shook her head
