We entered my house and he stood there staring at me for answers im assuming but who cares, I didn't wanna talk to him.

"You aren't gonna say anything after pulling a stupid stunt like this" he said

"No, it wasn't stupid" I replied putting the chocolates on the counter

"The fuck do you mean it wasn't stupid"

"I just wanted some chocolates" I said looking down

"You are fucking kidding me right, you went out this late in the night for chocolates" he asked dangerously

"I was craving some" I said

"Nandini you aren't a fucking child that you leave the house this late without even telling anyone, if I hadn't seen your location I wouldn't have known" he said

"But I"

"No buts or ifs in this, what you did was fucked up, don't ever do it. Do you understand me?" He asked

"No" I mummbled

"What no" he said

"I don't understand you"

"Quit being a fucking child nandini" he yelled

"I don't wanna talk to you, just go" I said trying not to cry

"I am talking to you" he said

"I don't want to talk to you mr Malhotra, please leave"

"Nandini for god sake, you are being so childish" he siad and I had nothing to say

"Nandini"

"I don't want to talk" I repeated looking down

"You are gonna talk"

"Why would I? Because you are my boyfriend?" I asked

"Fake boyfriend but because you are my employee" he said and my heart broke

"Manik just go please, I can't do this with you right now" my voice was breaking, I could feel it

He took a deep breath and picked me up, I didn't even fight back because I was exhausted not just physically but mentally. To think that he only thinks of me as his employee and a chick he is fake dating breaks my heart

he closed my door and carried me to my room also taking the chocolates. He sat down on my bed placing me right infant of him. He wiped the tears that made their way down my cheeks

"Sweetheart it's scary to know that you aren't home this late at night, im not saying that you cannot protect yourself because I know you can but knowing you are out there alone scares me. You need to understand that you can't step out like this alone, if you wanna go somewhere you can ask me to come with you, or arun and cabir but going out alone isn't the best decision" he said caressing my cheek

He was absolutely correct but he yelled at me instead of explaining things to me

"Talk to me darling" he said tipping my chin up so my eyes met his

"You yelled at me in the middle of the road" I sniffled saying this

"Im sorry for yelling at you, I was scarred" his eyes showed fear and I wondered if this is all fake

"You said im a child and and you only care because I am your employee which is fine but"

"Ah ah no thats not what I meant. You are my employee but you are so much more to me. I don't get scarred like this for anyone. You are a child but that's not a bad thing, I was just saying you should be careful. You were in the middle of a silent quiet road in shorts and a crop tee Nandini, anything could have happened and that's not saying that if you were wearing jeans or a suit nothing would have happened. Your clothes don't matter but I can't say that I wasn't scared to shits thinking what could happen. sweetheart this complex Is safe for you to roam around in because there are bodyguards outside but I can't protect you if I don't know where you are" he said
