Nandini's pov
I woke up and didn't find Manik around me, I grabbed my phone to see it was 12 in the afternoon, I got up and looked around the house but didn't find him anywhere.
I quickly showered and put on one of his extra extra long t shirts with his boxers underneath. I grabbed my phone and called him, he answered at the last ring
"Hello" he said
"Manik where are you" I asked tapping my feet
"Why" he asked and I felt my heart drop for some reason
"Manik" I whispered
"What" he asked
"Where are you? I don't like being here alone" I said despite feeling crushed
"It's safe to be there alone" he replied
"Why are you talking like that" I asked trying not to cry
"Like what" he asked
"Never mind, sorry for calling" I said cutting the call
I took a few deep breaths and grabbed my bag walking to my house, getting inside I grabbed chucky who is my teddy bear and just got in bed.
I felt kind of hollow, and just off. I don't even know what I did or if I did anything to cause this behaviour of his.
I heard my phone ringing and saw it was navya but I genuinely didn't feel like talking to anyone so I grabbed my wallet and phone and going up to the terrace.
I sat down in the shade for a while, i felt drained so I came back home and laid down again with chucky.
i don't know how to describe what I feel, I don't know how to even let go of this feeling. He wasn't even rude but the softness in his voice wasn't there.
"What the fuck nandini" I heard cabir's voice walking into my room
"Hi bhai" I said trying to smile
"What hi, where the fuck have you been, it's 7 in the evening and you have been just gone" he said
"Bhai" I whispered and he immediately sat down beside me pulling me in his arms
"Tu kyu eski gayab ho dati hai" he sounded worried
"Sorry, woh lai terrace pai thi"
"Kya Hua hai" he asked
"Manik, umm he'
"Was he rude, did he yell at you?" He asked
"No, he just had this umm I don't know bhai"
"Did you two have an argument" he asked
"No, we are officially dating just so you know" I said and he smiled
"I know, he asked for Navya's permission because she knows you the longest" I smiled hearing this
"I don't know what happened but his voice sounded different almost like he was upset about something"
"Oh he is definitely upset, ill tell you that" he said
"Why"
"No idea, but he has just been working. Come on lets go" he said
"Where"
"My house, movie night" he said
"Okay" I said getting out of bed with chucky in my arms
We walked upstairs to navya and his house. Everyone was there, Arun, navya, Manik, and now me. I walked inside and looked at Manik who broke eye contact almost instantly but I could see the worry in his eyes
I sat down beside navya instead of Manik because I wasn't sure what he was pissed about.
"Feeling okay cutie" navya asked and I nodded
"Nandini yar" arun said sitting beside me
"What's wrong" I asked
"Dude I met this chick right"
"Wait, from where" I asked
"The bar you idiot," he said smacking my arms
"Oye, don't call me an idiot"
"Whatever, now listen will you"
"Fine"
"This chick right, I met her at the Abr, we hit it off right away and guess what"
"What" I asked
"She works in our company" he said
"She does? Wait who is it" I asked
"Myra" he said with a smile
"Damnn myra is a steal, she is so sweet and nice"
"Right, I thought she was just another girl who would want you know hook up but she is so sweet"
"she is" I said smiling
"And I have a date"
"Tonight" I asked and he nodded
"In an hour, I just stayed to tell you" he said smiling
"Good luck mr, and wear that"
"Yes I know the blazer yup" he said inturpting me as he got up
"Use your manners"
"Yes mom" he said making em chuckle
"Bye guys" he siad
"Bye" we all said
He left and now it was Manik, navya, cabir and I.
"Movie" cabir asked and we all nodded
We walked to the movie room and cabir and Navya sat together obviously so I sat beside Manik.
As the lights closed, the only source of light was the tv. I curled up in my seat wrapping my arms around my legs pulling them in.
"Did you eat?" I heard manik making me look at him
"Why are you mad at me" I whispered
"Im not mad at you" he said shrugging his shoulder
"You are lying"
"I am not mad"
"Then why did you leave before I woke up"
"Because I had some work with cabir"
"Fine" I said turning away from him
"Did you eat?" He asked again
"Why do you care" I said getting up
"Im gonna head home" I said to cabir and Navya
"Whyyy" Navya asked
"Im sleepy ahahaha and I have to write a few things for a file" I said chuckling a little
"Fineee, this is boring anyways, club timeeee" Navya said making me laugh
"Goodnight guys" I said and they both said goodnight too
"It''ll be okay just talk to him" bhai whispered to me kissing my head
"I will" I said walking back home
I went straight to my room and curled up in the blankets thinking about manik.
He makes me wanna cry my eyes out and run into his arms at the same time. I miss him already, it's like I'm used to his presence and the physical touch.
