I felt his fingers move In my hadn't making me look at him.
"Bhai see he is waking up" I said and he chuckled
"Here we go, he is gonna turn into a child and freak out seeing the iv and stuff" he joked making em smile slightly
It took manik a few minutes but then he slightly opened his eyes and I smiled widely seeing him awake
"Hi jaan" he mummbled and I couldn't help but tear up a little
"Hi sweet"
"Shh why are you crying" he asked
"Why are you crying, kaminai insan kaha dyan reheta hai tera han, kya halat bana li hai turai. Jab chalani ni ati toh kyu chalata hai" Bhai said helping him sit up
"Shittt, im so sorry" he siad holding my hand
"Are you okay" I asked wiping my tears and he nodded
"How did this happen" Arun asked
'I don't know, I was talking to nandini and then i was gonna get gas but when I pulled in the gas station a car hit me, I just don't know how, I checked my spots" he whispered
"I have told you a billion times not to call or text me when you are driving" I said
"Im fine nandini, it was a small thing" he whispered and I could tell he wasn't okay
"Nice to see you up mr Malhotra, how are you feeling?" The doctor asked
"Im okay, can I go home now" he asked and we all shook our heads at him
"Not so soon mr Malhotra, you have a concussion so no electronics or harsh lighting for a few weeks. Your vitals look good but I will have a nurse come in a few to change your dressing" the doctor said
"What the crap, get these off me" Manik said as soon as he saw the iv in his arm
"Mr Malhotra you cannot pull them off" the doctor said
"Get them off me now" he said in his dangerous warning tone and the doctor was taken back
"Manik stop it" I said holding his hands from pulling the iv out
"It hurts" he said pulling on the tape around the iv
"Stop" I whispered caressing his arm
"Mrs Malhotra I need you to keep an eye on him, he shouldn't remove the iv at all and here are the meds he needs to take" the doctor said and I nodded
Once he left Arun came up to me and pulled my cheek
"Mrs Malhotra hmm" he teased
I didn't even realize the doctor had called me mrs Malhotra, bu I didn't mind it. Manik already calls me mrs Malhotra so who cares.
"Shut up or I'm gonna complain to myra" he shut up real quick cause they are dating now and she is good friend of mine
"Cat got your tongue" Navya asked making everyone laugh
"Get well soon, we will come back in the morning since mrs Malhotra is here to take care of you" bhai teased making me blush
I saw Manik smiling hearing this for some reason, well I know why, it's because he likes when I am refereed to as being his
"Bye guys" Manik mumbled while the three of them hugged him gently
"Take care of this idiot and yourself" Navya said and I nodded smiling
Once they left, I sat down in front of Manik who wrapped onto my arms
"Im sorry sweetheart, I didn't mean to scare you and make you cry" he said so softly
"Manik you don't have to say sorry, I know it wasn't your fault but please don't be on your phone when you are driving please. I cannot see you like this" I could feel my voice breaking
"Shh it's okay, im right here, nothing major happened. I promise ill pay attention next time" he said holding me close to him
"I was scarred" I mummbled looking down
"I know Jaan, im really sorry" he said pulling me to him so I was right next to him
He put his head on my shoulder and I knew he was in pain
"Where does it hurt" I asked
"Nowhere" he replied entwining his fingers with mine
"Don't lie to me sweet, tell me"
"Eveyrhitng hurts, I feel like I just ran into a steel wall repeatedly"
"Come on lay down, you need to rest" I said getting up
"No I am not comfortable in this bed, I want our bed" he wined like a child
"Just a few days, then you can sleep in our bed but till then you gotta rest or the doctor won't sign your discharge papers" I said helping him lay down
"The hell do you mean, if he doesn't I will fire him" he said making me laugh
"This isn't your office Manik" I said chuckling
"Jaan I can buy this hospital and then that would make him my employee then I could fire him" he said with a slight smirk
I sat beside him caressing his face slightly
"Isn't that a lot of work just to get discharge papers" ia asked and he thought for a second and then nodded
"It is, maybe but meko yaha ni rehena" he wined
"Only a few days, just let him see treat you"
"I am well, see" he said touching my stomach then my nose
"I see" I siad chuckling
"Chalo na ghar" he wined
"Shh ill see what I can do" he nodded making me smile
I caressed his face and he leaned into my touch closing his eyes. A few tears fell from his eyes freaking em out.
"What's wrong" I asked inching closer and he shook his head
I leaned down and pecked his lips followed by his cheeks and eyes
"Manik whats wrong"
"Nothing" he mummbled shoving his face in my legs
I caressed his hair kissing his forehead
"Ill talk to the doctor okay and maybe we can go home tonight" I said and he nodded in my leg
There was something bothering him and it sure as hell wasn't the accident because I know how tough he is. Something happened, something he isn't telling me.
He slept for a few hours and I talked to the doctor who was very reluctant on letting manik go home early but I convinced him. Cabir came to pick us up but the whole way manik was quiet, he was lost in his own world
"We can take the stairs" manik whispered
"It's okay" I said
We took the elevator up and for the first time I didn't care about the elevator, I was more concerned with manik. I hated the silence, especially when it's from his side.
He doesn't talk much but the silence is very comforting except right now everything feels heavy and weird. Nonetheless cabir bhai helped manik to the bed and I handed him some water while bhai and I walked outside the room.
"There is something off" I said and he nodded
"I feel that too, he isn't this silent when he is sick"
"Unless he is in pain" I added
"Maybe this accident"
"Maybe he is lying and there is something else" I said intuprting him
"Let me see what his car looks like tom morning, and see if I can find a clue there" he siad
"Thank you bhai" I said and he side hugged me kissing my head
"Bhai ko koi thank you Bolta hai besharm insaan, chal ja ab warna terai monster ki awaz ayegi" he said laughing making em smile
"Goodnight bhai"
