The Addison stared in awe. Standing right before him was his old friend. Fellow Addison. His old partner.
Spamton G. Spamton

But why? Why was he here of all places?

"What the hell are you doing here?!" Pink ran back to the dumpster to get a closer look. He wasn't dreaming, right?
"[What am I doing] HERE? I COULD ASK YOU THE SAME [questions]." His hair was the same color black he had when his popularity took off, but now he also wore different colored glasses. He wore a black suit.
It was almost like nothing ever happened.
"I'm not the one who's been missing for years!"
"[Got that right]. I'VE BEEN BUSY MAKING IT [big shot]."
Pink was taken aback.
"What do you mean?"
"I'M DOING [business calls] HERE! YOU THINK JUST BECAUSE MY SALES WENT TO [0 percent] THAT I WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO [work full time]."
"You sell stuff? Here?"
"I'VE GOT [multiple locations]." Spamton then dove back into the garbage.
"PLENTY OF GOODS [half off]!"
Pink was absolutely floored. He's been here the whole time? Did he never leave the city?
"If you've been here, why didn't you come back?"

It suddenly went quiet.
"... come back?"
"Yes. Why didn't you come back? We all thought you had either skipped town or even worse."
Spamton suddenly came back up, with a crazed look on his face.
"HAHA. [Y] COME BACK WHEN ALL YOUR [friends] HAVE ABANDONED YOU? WHY COME [back pain] TO A [love] THAT TOOK OFF HIS [engagement rings]?!"
Pink looked down silently. He had a point. The last time any of them spoke, it wasn't on the nicest of terms.
Especially the last conversation the two of them had.
He didn't know what to say.

"NOW IF YOU ARE DONE [talking all day], I HAVE [big sales] TO MAKE." He then dug through the trash once again.
"I..." What could Pink say? Did he want to apologize? Maybe? He still remembers how horribly Spamton treated everyone when he had gotten popular. Though, they all weren't exactly the kindest either. Yet, his heart still ached.
Perhaps it was best to leave him be. He obviously didn't want anything to do with him or his old friends. Why try to push it?
"DON'T BE JEALOUS WHEN THE [customers] COME TO ME FOR [better bargains]!"
"Yeah. Sure." Adjusting his scarf, Pink decided to just leave. No use staying around here. He had bigger things to worry about.

"WHY HAVE [wedding rings] WHEN YOU CAN GET ONE THAT [stings]!"

... What?

"Did you say rings?" He walked back over.
"YUP! BUT JUST THE [limited edition]! QUITE THE [power]FUL  THING." Spamton held the ring between his fingers.
Pink couldn't believe it. It was the thorn ring.
"Oh my god..." Pink reached over to grab the ring that he was desperately looking for. Until Spamton backed away from him.
"WOAH WOAH WOAH. [Pinky], YOU'RE NOT GETTING THIS RING UNLESS YOU GOT THE [kromer] FOR IT."
"That was my ring to sell in the first place! Why the hell do you have it?"
"It FELL INTO MY POSSESSION WHEN WE HAD OUR [separation]."

Pink groaned. Of course. Of fucking course Spamton had it. And he's had it for years.
No. Even still, Pink needed it more than him.

"Spamton, give it or I swear to god," Pink once again tried to reach for the ring. Spamton, however, quickly dodged him by jumping out of the garbage can. Pink turned towards him, enraged.
"I'm not playing around! Give it to me!"
"NEITHER AM I! [All or nothing] PINK. NEED TO MAKE ENDS [meeting] SOMEHOW!"

"What ends?! You live in the goddamn garbage!" He ran towards the smaller salesman, hoping to grab him. Spamton then dodged him again, knocking into Pink as he went past him. Pink fell to the ground.

"SORRY [honey bunny]. THAT'S JUST HOW BUSINESS [goes around].

Pink groaned in pain. He had felt weak ever since the events of the previous day.
But he needed to get that ring.

"Spamton," Pink, still on the ground, turned around. "I told you to give it to me!"
But when he looked at the other salesman's face, he saw a look he didn't expect to see.

Behind the glasses he wore, Spamton's eyes became wide. His mouth was slightly agape.
"Pink... your... face."

Silence.

Pink quickly put his hand to his cheek. He hadn't realized the scarf had lowered during the whole skirmish.

"What. Happened?"
Pink sighed and stood up slowly. "Spam. Please. I'll give you the money, just please give me the ring."
"Who. Did. That?"
"Just give me the ring."
"Pink."
"Give me the ring."
"But-"
"Give me the ring."
Pink started to sound like a broken record at this point. He was tired.
Spamton slowly walked back over to Pink. For a moment, all he could do was stare at him. Finally, he held out the ring in his hand. Pink took it and sighed in relief.
"Thank god."
Pink then reached into his pocket for his wallet.
"Here. $2000 fine?" He didn't wait for a response. He put the money into Spamtons hand and began to walk away. He had to get back home.

"... Pink?"
"Just forget this ever happened." No need to get anyone involved. Not even him. "Goodbye Spamton." Pink then adjusted his scarf one last time and left.

Spamton just stood there. He didn't know what to do, much less say.
Pink, on the other hand, was just hoping that this would all be over soon.
