Voodoo Child
"So are we gonna beat the shit out of them yet or are you just gonna stand there?"
Over the next few years Officer Callahan had grown close to Solomon, he accepted all of his flaws, seeing him as an outcast similar to himself. He even accepted 'Enigma', who he assumed was just an imaginary friend, Callahan was about to send Solomon to school when he saw him teleport across the room. That was how he found out about his abilities.
Solomon had to explain his powers to his father and was expecting to be taken back to the lab, be put in prison or handed back to the government, but it seemed the only thing it did to his father was make him more worried for his safety.
Callahan tried his best to give Solomon 'Superpower training' and realised the limits of his powers, he also came to the realisation that 'Enigma' wasn't an imaginary friend but rather a biproduct of his power.
What would of been an awkward family secret, not spoken of at all unless absolute necessary, became a topic of high discussion, whenever Solomon would do something cool, learn something new or just wanted to talk about his power in general, Phil would be right there to listen over TV dinners and game shows.
Solomon was perfectly content spending his time in Callahan's relatively small one floor house while he was at work for most days, but Callahan felt like it was wrong to keep a young boy cooped up in a house all day, he needed to talk to kids his age, and with a new school year rolling around, it was the perfect opportunity.
"BORING!" Enigma boomed as Solomon held up a brown shirt to go with his jeans. "Its your first day at school, arguably the most important day of your LIFE and you want to wear something as boring as a brown shirt"
"It makes my hat stand out" Solomon mumbled.
"No it makes you look like a background character" Enigma scathed.
"Fine...what do you suggest?" Solomon sighed in defeat.
"Heh...Just let me do the work" Enigma evilly grinned
Time Skip
Solomon stepped onto school grounds wearing a bright yellow hoodie, black jeans and his signature purple baseball hat with the letter S stitched on it in white. Solomon looked around to the other kids, some older, some younger and some who he'd probably have to sit next too.
"There's some hot girls here I'll tell you that" Enigma leaned down.
"And they're all probably disgusted by me" Solomon retorted.
"Why so pessimistic?" Enigma questioned.
"Gee I don't know, maybe its because I look like if a seizure could walk" Solomon complained.
"I think the yellow pops, brings out the hat more" Enigma excused, Solomon ignored him and walked into the building.
Solomon navigated his way to the principles office, he knocked and waited. After a while of waiting, the principle opened the door and welcomed him inside.
"Ah you must be Solomon Callahan, Phil's told me a bit about you, must be a bright kid" The principle smiled.
"Heh...yeah" Solomon laughed awkwardly and the room fell into silence for a moment.
"Should we be going, your first lesson today should be science" The principle smiled as the two stood up and made their way to Mr Clarkes room.
"Just remember your social life is my social life so don't screw this up" Enigma whispered to Solomon.
