SEVEN: Enigma's Presence

Voodoo Child

"Do you think Max is...pretty?"

Sol watched as Steve stepped out of the bus towards the middle of the junkyard, much to the worried yelling of Dustin and Lucas. Max quickly rushed down the stairs as Enigma reached the bus.

"There's like 3 more fuckers" Enigma said tired.

Without thinking, Sol grabbed a large metal rod and leapt down off the bus, everyone still in the bus now grew even more worried, Maria and Max the most.

"Steve, just get back to the bus, its dangerous" Sol demanded.

"Trust me kid these things are more scared of you than you are of it" Steve reassured.

"If we die, its on you" Sol said as the two slowly crept forward to a shadowy figure.

"GUYS, THERES MORE, THREE O CLOCK!" Lucas yelled, Sol's attention turned to his right to see two more beasts looking at him. 

"STEVE, SOL, ABORT, ABORT!" Dustin yelled, this made the beasts lunge towards Steve, he and Sol each swung their weapons and batted away a monster each, they then sped off towards the bust, hitting and dodging any more beasts that came their way.

The two leapt into the bus and shut the door, Steve using a piece of metal to cover the door that now had many holes in it. 

"Hello, Will, Mike, god, anyone!" Dustin yelled into the walkie talkie as the kids piled at the back, Max looked up the ladder after hearing strong and heavy footsteps.

Another beast reared its head and opened its flowery mouth, Max shrieked in fear and Sol grabbed her hand, drew her towards him, moved to where she stood and clutching his spear like metal rod, threw it at the monster, the rod going into its mouth hole and emerging out the other end.

"You got a good arm on you Callahan!" Steve yelled in excitement.

Another monster appeared where the old one fell and roared again, Sol rushed to protect the others with a spare bit of metal, using it as a shield, but the aggressive expression of the monster turned neutral as its head snapped up and its attention moved elsewhere, it quickly jumped off the bus and walked off.

The group took a while to breathe, Sol dropped his shield and then fell to his knee, clutching his left arm, he didn't recall how it got injured, but there was a large cut, it wasn't deep but it was enough to hinder its movement.

"Oh my god!" Maria said worried and rushed over to him. "A-are you okay?" 

"Y-yeah...yeah I'm fine" Sol stood to his feet and was instantly hugged by Maria.

"Good...don't die on me" Maria said.

"Not yet" Sol chuckled, Maria's eyes caught Max's, Max looked away, obviously jealous. Sol walked towards the door and ripped the metal open before turning his attention to Steve. "You owe me"

Sol stepped out of the bus, with the others following behind, they looked around the junkyard before Enigma came out of his hiding spot behind a scrapped car.

"...Ahem...follow me" Enigma said as if nothing had happen and walked off.

"Uh...follow me" Sol said as he started walking into the woods, the rest shared a few looks before following.

Sol and Maria were at the front of the group as the rest talked about Dart.
