TW: Daggers, blood

The day before the dance I was sitting in my bed reading when Mattheo came in "Do you have a date yet to the dance?" He asked

"No, I don't know if I am going honestly" I sighed

"Come on, you should go"

"I don't want to ask anyone and nobody asked me so..."

"Circe, will you be my date to the dance" He bowed and I laughed

"Your my brother"

"And..., we make a cute couple according to Thomas"

I laughed again "Of course I will be your date for the dance, I wouldn't let you go alone"

"And it doesn't matter what you wear, you can wear sweatpants and a shirt for all I care, I just wouldn't want you to miss it"

The rest of the day passed by in a blur. Indu and I went last minute dress shopping and then got some other things too.

We got back just in time for dinner then after dinner I went up to my dorm, took a quick shower then got ready for bed. I put my hair into a high bun so it wouldn't get messed up while I slept

The next morning I slept in late and got up at 11. The dance started at 5pm (17:00). I kept my hair in a high bun as I brushed my teeth and washed my face. At 12 I headed down for lunch.

When I entered the Great Hall I walked over to the Slytherin table and sat next to Mattheo. I noticed Theodore wasn't there. "Where's Theodore?" I asked

"He's in the hospital wing, this morning I found him on the astronomy tower with blood all over him, I don't know what happened but me and Thomas brought him to the hospital wing and we haven't heard anything about how he's doing" Mattheo explained

"Can we visit him?"

"No, for some reason we are not allowed to see him" Thomas replied

"Hm, odd"

"Yeah" Mattheo nodded his head "Very odd"

"Thomas, are you ok?" I asked

"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"

"Your clenching your fists and you just sound like you are hurt" I replied

Thomas looked around but there was no one by us "It's the mark, it hurts"

Thomas got the Dark Mark the summer before his fifth year, and our father said all of us will get it the summer before our fifth year. "Does father need you?" Mattheo asked

"No, this is different, it has happened a couple times before but not like this"

"Maybe it's a warning" I shrugged "When were the other times you felt it?"

Thomas stared at me for a second, thinking "I think you might be right Circe, all the other times it hurt, something bad happened later"

"If it hurts more does that mean that the bad thing that will happen is going to be worse then other times" Mattheo asked

"That was wordy" I commented

"Well how would you word it?" He asked

"I would say more or less, does the intensity of the pain reflect the level of danger"

"Big words" Was all Mattheo said

"But it's quicker to say and easier" I replied

"Fine" He gave up
