TW: Daggers, blood, mentions to death
I awoke to find myself in a small room. My hands were chained behind my back and stuck to the deep gray walls, the wooden floor creaked as I shifted my weight. I felt so sore. A mirror across the room showed my reflection, I saw a cut on my forehead. Just the sight of it made my already bad headache worse and I almost passed out. Then I noticed my eyes. They were very dark.
The door opened and the masked person walked in "Oh good, your up, about time"
"How long have I been out?" I asked slowly
"Three days," They replied. With a wave of their wand the chains came undone and my hands were free. I got up cautiously, using the wall to put my weight on. With another wave of their wand I suddenly felt fine. Except for the headache, I still had a headache.
"Let me properly introduce myself" They took off the mask and sleek, long, curly brown hair fell out of the mask, she shook it out and her voice changed "I'm Dominique"
"I mean no offense but you're a girl?" I felt stupid asking the question. It's not that I didn't think a girl would be able to do this or just do it, it's that I always thought it was a boy all along.
"You think a boy would be able to do this and get away with it?" She asked tilting her head
"Now that you mention it, I can't really see a boy getting away with it. But why did you do it?"
"I was bored and I wanted to see you, so in order for that to happen I needed to make sure that classes had been canceled"
"Why did you want to see me?"
"Because your Circe Riddle, the most powerful Riddle" She said like everyone knew it
"Why me, what makes me the most powerful?"
"Your the youngest so you have your two brothers who would die for you, then you also can do some wandless magic and non- verbal magic, your a ravenin the best of two worlds plus, your cute and beautiful and could probably make any boy or girl fall in love with you and then you can make them do whatever you want. Oh also you are not affected much by the imperius curse"
"Did you just call me cute? Cute?"
"Yes, why?"
"Don't call me cute, it's an insult. So if you were trying to compliment me it didn't work, if you want to give me a compliment you can call me weird. I would rather be called weird then cute"
"Noted" She smiled and I rolled my eyes "But i'm not here to compliment you, I'm here and you're here because it's what you chose. This might be worse than death though" She whispered something under her breath while waving her wand at me. I immediately felt pain, it felt like daggers were poking me everywhere, on every inch of my body, it felt like I was burning, like I was melting. She smiled and waved her hand "See you tomorrow" She turned towards the door and I could hear her high heels on the floor then the slam of the door.
My skin still felt like it was on fire. I was on the floor, biting my lip trying not to scream, but I had to scream.
(Thomas's pov)
It had been three and a half days since Circe had gone. I had taken Theodore back to my house and met Mattheo there. We filled him in on everything and we had been trying to get a connection to Circe for days but we only ever found darkness.
We were now in Mattheo's room. He was on the bed trying to get to Circe, Theodore was looking out the window probably dreaming about a place better than this. I was reading.
Suddenly Mattheo started breathing heavily and I could sense he was in pain, or more like he was sensing Circe's pain. I walked over to him, his eyes were closed, it was almost like he was asleep, having a bad dream. He gasped and sat upright, his eyes wide glowed green for a few more seconds before returning to their natural color. I closed my eyes and tried to control my anger, I now knew what Mattheo had seen, what he had felt.
"What?" Theodore asked looking at our faces
"The cruciatus curse" Was all I said before I apparated to my room. I paced back and forth then I looked at myself in the mirror. My eyes had turned crimson which was something they did when I was really angry. In the back of my mind I could hear a faint voice calling my name. It was Circe's voice, calling my name Thomas? Are you there? It was Circe trying to talk to me, she sounded weak and her voice was still quiet. I'm here, Circe I'm here, are you ok? It was a stupid question to ask knowing what had happened to her. No, I don't think I am, I feel like I'm dying. She went silent for a second then she did one more thing.
I went to her room and grabbed the book she had been reading when she got her letter then I went back to Mattheo's room and explained the plan I had. When I was done Mattheo and Theodore both nodded their heads in agreement. We were going to get Circe before she died.
