“Why are you still single? You‘re pretty don‘t you have a suitor?” one of my highschool classmate asked me.
“I have, a lot.” I didn‘t bothered to look at her, I‘m busy eating.
Today is our highschool reunion, and all of them are enggaged and married, I‘m the one who‘s still single but I don‘t care, besides I don‘t mind that.
“Why don‘t you find a man who will complete you?” I looked up at her and bite the food on my fork
“I don‘t need that.” I answered and smiled at her.
“Or find a man who will see your worth” she said and smiled at me.
They keep saying that, they keep convincing me that I need a man who will love me and make me feel that I‘m worth it, a man who will give me a butterflies in my stomach — but in the end will just break your heart. I don‘t need that, I love myself enough to know my worth.
“I‘m not looking for someone who will complete me and make me feel that I‘m worth it. I am complete on my own, and I know my worth.” I said to them in a serious tone and with a smirk on my lips.
They just nodded and laughed awkwardly like they‘re surrendering.
