"Good morning, how may I help you? " The receptionist asked.

" Good morning, I am supposed to join from today as an intern. " I replied with
a bright smile on my face which she gladly returned.

" Oh, please come with me. "
She said and led me to the elevator.

" Here " She gestured for me to head out of the elevator as soon as the door opened and finished her speech with
" All the best with your first day. "

I bowed at her and said a quick
" Thank you " before the doors closed.

I took a deep breath and entered inside the office, gaining attention of people more than I intended to.

I bowed and smiled before greeting with a
" Good morning, I am the new intern. "

All of them eyed me from top to bottom making me feel a little uncomfortable and conscious.

" Welcome! " I heard them say in unison.
That word was enough to make me feel at ease.

All of the came towards me and shook hands while introducing themselves.

" You need to sit in the first row. "
said Mr. Jeon.

" Thank you so much for your help,
Mr. Jeon. " I said and bowed.

" That's the least I should do, Miss Y/n." He stated while I smiled at him.

" And also feel free to ask for help if you are stuck on something, okay? I know how things work when you are new,
I have been through this phase,
so no need to think twice. Just come to me whenever you need help. " He said.

" I am really thankful to you, Mr. Jeon. "
I again smiled at him genuinely before
we parted our ways.

It was really nice of him to offer help,
he made me feel more at ease and
I can work with less worries now.

I settled down on the desk assigned to me and started going through the files which were kept there.

All I needed to do was to analyse
the documents and pick out the mistakes if any and then arrange them properly according to the schedule of grandpa, opps! I mean our CEO Mr. Park , I giggled at the thought of calling grandpa 'sir' from now on.

It's been a month since I am calling him grandpa so it's gonna be hard.

I sighed out dramatically when my work was finally done, standing up i made my way towards Mr. Jeon's desk.

" Uh..Mr.Jeon? " I said trying to gain his attention, it was still a little awkward because i am not that good when it comes to interacting with people.

" Oh, hi. Do you need something? "
He asked.

" Yes? I mean I am done with the work
I was assigned so what am I supposed
to do now? " I questioned.

He looked at his wrist watch and replied " For now we need to go to the cafeteria for lunch. "

" I am hungry tbh. " I said and scratched my head, he laughed at my statement.

" Okay, let us grab something tasty to eat than. " He said and gestured me to follow him.

" Would you like to have your lunch with me or do you have someone else you want to be with? " asked Mr. Jeon

" No, I am more than pleased to have
my lunch with you, Mr. Jeon. "
I replied while smiling.
