Lost In Emotions

Thomas's POV

Her emotions where all over the place. There was no way she could not have done anything after all of this.

She rans upstairs tears streaming down her eyes, levaing me alone on the couch emotionless.

I tried hard not to get her involved in all of these but I could live a life knowing that she died because of my fault.

I rather let her live with suffering.

Six months ago my besfriend found out that I was dating the girl who was responsible for his brother being sent to the prison.

It all happened when one day after school Alexa was caught by him. Jake's brother  kidnapped her bringing her to one of those creepy streets.

But before he could do anything a random person passing by helped Alexa.

Jake begged Alexa not to bring this forwad but she was scared for herself and made things complicated.

One afternoon after football practice Jake appeared to me and told me what should I do to Alexa or else her dead body will be found on the same place where his brother got arrested.

After days of protecting Alexa I could not stand Jake's insults so I did what he said.

That was the last day I saw Alexa. Her small body lied on the couch bleeding as I shut the door behind me.

I drive untill what happened clears my mind. I regrets doing this especially when Alexa life is in danger.

I tried o maintain my distance with her as I never called her. I still do love her but I wanted to make sure that I show Jake I'm over her.

So I started dating Kelly, Alexa's best friend since kindergarten. Kelly was nowhere near Alexa.

All she wanted was pleasure, money and clubbing. I wonder how they could have been best friends.

We never showed each other respect as I know Kelly was cheating and I didn't have an issue with that but pretended all was okay.

After graduation I took my dad's company as the CEO. There all I had to do was check if everything is okay and I get to go to work when ever I wanted.

After four months I met Alexa there who was working as my new secretary.

I was shocked to see that she was pregnant and I assume it's my baby.

She looked cute with her watermelon size belly. To me she always looked beyond beauty.

Her skin tone has stayed the same expect her body which has large a bit.

I regretted after treating her so badly on the first day.

But after we go along as things became vomplicated for her. Having twins wasn't meant for her.

I waited about five minutes for Alexa settle down. She must be still crying.

I opened the door but no Alexa on the bed  or anywhere in the room.

No she can't just disappeared. I rushed to the bathroom to see her seated next to the toilet seat closed and laying her head on it.

"Alexa." I whispered to her and taking her in bridal style.

Dots of blood along her mouth as I layed her next to the sink helping her to wash it. They I grabbed her laying her slowly on the bed.

"There are some pills in my office bag. Can you get them for me." She said moving her head slowly.

There I took a pibk coloured purse with neatly arranged pills and grabbed a water bottle from the mini fridge in her room.

She took two yellow coloured pills and laid her head back of the bed.

"I'm okay." She nod.

I can't understand her sometimes. One minute all upset and sad and the other minute acting as if everthing is okay. Typical Alexa.

"You should eat something. The pizza arrived." I said.

"Can you bring me some here and take my vitamin pills from the counter." She replied weakly.

I grabbed two slices on each plate and her vitamins and made my way to her room.

She took the plate thaking me as she take bites slowly.

"You sure you okay. You don't want me to call a doctor." I asked.

"I'm fine. "She nodded. "It's just another regular day where I throw up blood. I will be fine after eating and taking the vitamins."

We sat there in silence sa we enjoyed the pizza.

This wasn't the Alexa who was in this room and hour ago jocking around and laughing. She was all weak and broken.

"You should stay home tomorrow." I said putting both of the plates away as we finishes the pizza.

"I need to go to work. I have some files left to finish. Plus I need my monthly payment for the baby."

"You don't have to worry about that. Just stay home and take care of yourself for the babies. I'll take care of all the expenses. Plus I have to be part of their lives."

"Okay." She replied without saying another word.

Not soon after that she felt asleep. Before making my way to the guest room I made sure all the doors and windows where locked.

Her house is huge with three rooms, one guest room, and one bathroom attached to her room, her parents room and guest room. They have a huge living room with dinning room and a kitchen.

Before I could jump into the bed Alexa's voice came calling out for my name.

As I appeared in her room she begged me to stay next to her.

"I'm scared." She said. "It was a nightmare."

I layed next to her making sure she gets enough space for herself.

I waited for her to close her eyes once again so I could close mine but all I could feel is her body moving here and there.

"Do you want me to rub your back?" I asked and she nod.

After some minutes of rubbing her back she whispered better and closed her eyes as I felt my eyes shut itself.
