A half hour passed.
Bucky feels you move. He looks up at you. Your hand is shaking in his. He realises your whole body is shaking.
"Y/n?"
Steve looks over too.
You're attached to a monitor. It starts beating fast.
"Y/n?" Bucky says a lot more worriedly.
A couple doctors runs in.
"What's happening? Is she okay? What's going on!"
"Sir, please step out the way" one of the doctors requests.
"No. Please. Tell me what's going on."
"Bucky" Steve puts his hand on his shoulder to pull him away.
A gurney is brought in and you're transferred to lay on it.
Bucky's eyes keep darting around the room, looking at all the doctors. They don't acknowledge him. You're wheeled out the room. Bucky goes after you. Steve follows.
You're pushed through some double doors.
"I'm sorry, you can't go in there" a doctor stops the guys from going with you.
"Why the hell not?" Bucky snaps.
"Authorised medical personnel only."
Bucky looks back at Steve as he doesn't know what to do. Steve faces the doctor.
"What's going on? They wouldn't tell us" Steve states.
"Miss y/l/n had a seizure. They've taken her for an MRI to check for brain damage, so we know how to move forward with her treatment. If you take a seat in the waiting room, we'll have someone come to update you soon."
Bucky and Steve do as the doctor says. They go to the waiting room. All the Avengers are still there.
Tony stands. "How is she?"
Bucky can't answer. Steve speaks instead.
"We don't know."

As promised, a doctor came to update them.
"What's going on? Where is she? Is she okay? Can I see her?"
"Buck" Steve interrupts. "Let him speak."
Bucky silently stares at the doctor.
The doctor takes a breath, startled as Bucky had just yelled.
"Y/n is in surgery-"
"What!"
"Sir, please quieten down."
"Why is she in surgery? She wasn't supposed to be in surgery."
"What happened to the MRI scan?" Steve asks.
"We did the MRI, and that's why she's in surgery. We found something on the scan."
Bruce joins the conversation. "What is it?"
"We're not sure exactly."
"Can I have a look?"
The doctor hands your file to Bruce.
"What..."
"Whatever that is... it's not supposed to be there. It was emitting electromagnetic radiation which was causing some damage to the brain, but from what we can tell, its not too serious. Y/n is in surgery so this device can be removed."
"That looks like it'll be a complicated procedure. What's the survival rate?" Bruce asks.
"Well we've never actually performed a surgery like this before. We've never seen anything like it. But we have some of the best neurosurgeons in the country employed in our staff. If anyone can do it, it's them. I will come find you again when she's out."

It was just over an hour until you were out. This time, everyone goes to see you. Everyone crowds into the room.
After a while, a doctor asks to speak to a few of them about what they found. Bucky, Tony and Bruce go with him to a private room.
The doctor sits down with them in a small conference room. He places a small tray on the table, upon which is a clear bag. Inside the bag, there's a small metal device, about the size of a pea with thin wires trailing out of it.
"Is this the device?" Bruce asks.
"Yes. This was what we found physically attached to the brain."
Bucky carefully picks up the bag to take a closer look. He hands it to Tony.
"Where on the brain was it?"
"The medulla."
"What's that?" Bucky asks.
"It's the part of the brain that is concerned with unconscious activities such as controlling heartbeat, breathing-"
"Of course" Bruce interrupts.
"What?" Tony questions.
"I think I've figured it out."
"Figured what out?"
"Everything... the sleepwalking" Bruce clarified. "It started when she got back from Hydra."
"But we ran tests" Bucky states. "I thought you didn't find anything."
"We ran blood tests. We were testing the circulatory system. The brain... that's parts of the nervous system. They're completely different things so we would never have found this with the tests we did."
"So this is Hydra's fault?"
"Yes. They must've injected this into her brain. This whole time, they've been mind controlling her. Quite literally, they were managing a part of her mind. They had complete control whenever she was unconscious."
"So everything that she did while sleepwalking..." Tony says.
"Hydra's fault."
"And now that's it's removed, everything will be fine? It'll go back to normal?" Bucky enquired.
"I can't see why not."
"The MRI showed no other serious brain damage" the doctor informs.
"Serious?"
The doctor couldn't elaborate as the door opens and Nat rushes in.
"Bucky... she's asking for you."
"She's awake?"
Nat nods. Bucky stands and runs to find you.
