Jane was finally able to find something else than darkness, and to her luck, it was Dr. Kowalski. However, he wasn't breathing, his throat all bloody, streams going down his robe. Jane focused her mind on the place behind him to see the prison Jim Hopper, Jane's dad, described while talking about his time in Russia, the demogorgons and demodogs were running around. Jane focused her mind on finding out what happened four and a half hour ago.
Dr. Kowalski was walking around with a cup of coffe, the tables behind him having dead demogorgons on them, some other sciencists running some tests on the creatures, while suddenly all the UD creatures had awaken and attacked the sciencists, one of them, who looked the youngest, he was probably just a helper there, ran out of the room, closing it behind and yelling out: "остерегаться!" as the other sciencists and guards were looking at him in confusion before they heard noises from the room Jane had just exited after the young man. She followed him into communiation room, seeing him pick up the microphone and yelling into it: "Hello american side, there is a problem. Something is wrong and we-" the man turned to the door that were just torn open and a huge demogorgon walked in, only leaving the young man to yell as he dropped the microphone when the demogorgon attacked, destroying all the equipment. The man managed to get out and run towards the exit, pressing the first alarm button he ran across.
Jane walked over to one of the big windows of the institute, looking out seeing as nearly everyone got attacked by the demo-creatures. Soon she heard a helicopter somewhere in a distance, quickly she ran towards the sound to see the young man from before trying to catch up to it. Some other sciencists got in, the young man caught up and got inside. The pilot turned to him with a smirk as he said with heavy russian accent: "Looks like you're going back to that hellhole, Fedorov." the young man gave him a glare as the other sciencists looked at the pilot confused and he said something in russian, Jane could just asume for it to be the translation.
Jane opened her eyes, taking off the glasses. Opening of the gates in Hawkins made the testing subjects in Russia turn to life and several people died. Jane was breathing heavily when she heard a knock on the door. Jane walked over to open it, to see Erica giving her a nervous smile.
"Lucas and the others are asking if everything's okay." Erica informed, Jane nodded.
"Tell the security to let them in, I need to share something." Jane said, turning to close the door.
"Use a mirror first, you look terrible right now." Erica said before walking off. Jane turned to a mirror on the wall, seeing blood dripping from her nose and her eyes slightly red.
Jane blinked a couple times, taking a tissue out of a box and wiping the blood off her nose, then closing her eyes again, it looked better now. After she was done, a knock on her door was heard again. Jane opened the door, seeing Lucas, Max, Dustin, Mike, Nancy, Will, Cindy, Jonathan, Steve and Robin all looking at her in worry.
"Follow me, I need to show you all something." Jane said, going inside the room, opening another door that led to the lab room, several boards with graphs around. The group all looked around, trying to figure out what they were looking at, except Will who had been here before, he walked straight over to Jane while holding Cindy's hand.
"What is it?" Will asked with concern, Jane shook her head slightly before sighing.
"The russian side got attacked, when the gate was open all their experiments woke up and it's a masacre there now." Jane explained with another sigh, this comment earned her looks from the others.
"The russian side?" Steve asked, trying to put two and two together.
"Yes, we, the Lab, have been working with some russian sciencists on the Upside Down experiments." Jane explained.
"You worked with russians?" Dustin asked in disbelieve.
"I needed to keep an eye on what they were up to with the Upside Down stuff, I didn't share any otherwise important informations. We got permission from goverment." Jane said with a sigh, Dustin nodded, looking down in embarassment.
Within the next couple hours, everyone shared what they knew, so mostly Jane and Will, sometimes even Cindy, but the little girl was soon to fall asleep. The group made their plan or just threw in some theories until about one in the morning.
"I just think your theory makes no sense, Steve." Dustin defended his reasons, giving Steve a look that said 'I'm right.'
"Why wouldn't it? It makes perfect sense, rigth? Robin back me up." Steve said, turning to his friend, who just shrugged, Steve let out a groan.
"Doesn't matter if it makes sense or not, it's just a theory anyway." Nancy said in annoyance.
"Yeah, just like when you thought I'd be an awefull father." Jonathan said, Nancy sighed.
"I thought we were over this." Nancy said, and the two started the same fight yet again.
Jane looked over at everyone else, Will was sitting in her chair, slowly falling asleep with Cindy sleeping in his lap, Mike was standing by the wall looking at his niece and Will, probably to make sure Cindy's safe and nothing will hurt her now, at least that's what Jane assumed. Max and Lucas were still scanning the graphs, trying to make them make sense. Robin was seated on the floor, using one of the board's leg as a support for her back. Steve and Dustin were arguing about Steve's theory, while Nancy and Jonathan kept their fight about Cindy. Jane let out a quiet sigh, looking over the boards in case she missed something in the previous couple hours. It's been around sixteen hours since the russian lab got attacked, and Jane still had no idea how to help them or stop whatever was going on with the UD. Jane heard someone knocking on the door again, so she walked to open it, just to see Erica, her secretary, again. Erica gave off apologizing smile, Jane sighed.
"What is it?" Jane asked, knowing that the other woman wouldn't just come in for nothing.
"A russian helicopter is asking for landing permission, they say it's about operation UD." Erica explained with a questioning look.
"Allow permission, send guards to look after them in case they lied." Jane said, Erica nodded and turned to leave as she was told. Jane closed the door again, walking back into the back room, Lucas, Dustin, Steve, Robin, Max and Mike turning to her with questioning looks.
"The russian sciencists are here." Jane anounced, the others exchanged looks before turning back to Jane and nodded, meanwhile Nancy and Jonathan turned their attention to Jane as well. Jane walked over to Will, shaking him slightly, he sat up quick, trying to figure out where he was.
"The Russians are here." Jane whispered, Will nodded with a yawn.
The group moved to the helicopter landing zone, watching a helicopter fly closer and lower before landing. Some men walked out, looking at the group, Jane recognized the pilot, but she didn't see the young man anywhere, yet she greeted the group.
"Welcome to Indiana, I suppose I know what brings you here. My name is Doctor Jane Hopper, head of the Hawkins National Laboratory." Jane said with a smile, having all the sciencists looking at her confused. Then the pilot looked inside the helicopter, shouting something and a last person walked out, stretching his arms and looking at the others there. Jane recognized the man as the young sciecist who called before, but she wasn't the only one who recognized the man, and he seemed to realize who was standing in front of him.
"William?" the young man asked with a strong accent, everyone turned to Will with confused looks, Will was standing there paler than usual, seeming like he just saw a ghost.
