"No!" Jane yelled, Max couldn't seem to realize how did that happen.
"Will!" Mike yelled, running towards the love of his life.
"I-I'm so-sorry." Will let out, coughing as blood was dripping out of his mouth and he nearly colapsed. Mike looked down, seeing the giant hole through Will's chest that was made by a demogorgon just seconds ago. But it seemed all the demo-creatures had kept their distance now, still circleing around.
"No, no, no. You have nothing to be sorry about." Mike quickly mummbled, trying to keep Will up on his feet, but it was impossible as Will colapsed, Mike kneeling next to him, holding Will in his arms.
"Ain't that ironic? I managed to survive a week here at just twelve, and at twenty-six, I can't even last a day." Will let out with a weak laugh that turned into a cough.
"No, don't say that, you'll be fine. El can fix this, right El?" Mike said, turning to Jane helplessly.
"I- I don't know." Jane said, her voice shaking, blood and tears running down her face.
"Of course you can," Mike said, tears rolling down his cheeks as well as he turned to Will, "you'll be fine. We'll get out of here and you're going to be okay."
"It's okay, Mike. I'm happy you will be the last thing I see." Will said with a smile, Jane let out a loud sob.
"No, you're not dying on me, William Byers, you hear me? I need you!" Mike said through tears.
"I'm sorry." Will mummbled, reaching his hand over to Mike's cheek, wiping down the tears, just for them to be replaced by new ones.
"No, you'll be fine. You will be fine." Mike said, trying to keep himself from sobbing. Jane burried her face in Max's neck, not able to watch the scene no longer as she kept on sobbing quietly.
"Mike, I love you. I always have." Will said with a smile, Mike smiled through his tears too.
"I love you too, always have." Mike said, smiling at Will as tears kept on rolling down his cheeks.
"I wish you told me sooner." Will sighed, slightly playing with the hair that fell over Mike's face.
"Me too, Will. Me too." Mike mummbled, bringing himself closer to Will. Will was the one to close the distance in between them, and finally kiss Mike Wheeler, the boy he had always been in love with since he can remember. It was a thing he wanted to do since he was about ten, a thing he hoped to achieve before he died, a thing he thought was going to be his biggest regret of not doing. But here he was, using his last strenght to do exactly that, and the kiss was nothing like Will ever imagined, it was way better if he was to ignore the mixture of blood and tears.
After finally pulling apart, Mike was just staring at Will in a mixture of shock and happines. Will smiled, letting his hand fall from Mike's cheek, saying in a quiet voice: "I always wanted to do that. I can die happy now." Will smiled, Mike shook his head.
"No, you're not dying. Not on my watch." Mike said, but Will didn't seem to even hear him anymore, his smile slowly fading. "Will?" Mike said, shaking Will slightly, realizing Will was no longer breathing. "Will!" Mike called again, shaking Will a little more agressively. Brian was the only one to notice the demo-creatures slowly making their way towards the group as Mike kept on shaking Will while calling his name, while Jane and Max cried into each others arms.
"The demo things." Brian warned, Jane and Max looked up, seeing what was happening.
"Mike, we have to go!" Max yelled, but the man wasn't even paying attention to her.
"Mike!" Jane called, getting ignored as well. A demogorgon made it's way too close to Mike, Brian pulled him aside just in time.
"We have to go, I'm sorry." Brian said as the demo-creatures walked over, completely ignoring Will's body, making their way closer to the group. Max and Jane took a run towards the gate, while Brian had to drag Mike.
