Triggers

The words "depression" and "abuse" Don't trigger me, like at all. Explicit descriptions of depression and abuse don't trigger me either. What people think triggers, usually doesn't.

The point of trigger warning is pretty much stupid and doesn't make any sense. Anything can trigger somebody, it's literally an uncontrollable occurrence.

So I don't get why people make such a point to say shit like "don't read if blah blah blah triggers you." I've never heard of someone legitimately being triggered by description of rape or child abuse or depression or whatever. Or ED.

I get if you're upset by it, I'm upset that I was abused and have ED and shit. But nothing actually connected to depression or whatever has triggered me, what triggers me is the most random shit.

So yeah, it is pretty much useless. No stupid little trigger warnings are going to stop me because I'm genuinely not affected by it, like at all. Which is why you won't ever catch me wasting my time on putting a trigger warning for anything except gore and general graphic violence.

I will(?) put it mature because children shouldn't read about rape (there should be awareness about it though, but I'm not about to sit here and ruin a pure innocence by explicitly detailing rape and molestation of a minor) but if it's mature, obviously it will contain mature content and themes for mature people. Which means there will be zero warnings.
