My parents were in their rooms getting ready for this "Dinner party" I told them about. I had also invited JJ, but he's someone that always shows up late. So I'll be expecting him like thirty minutes later.
Looking in the mirror before me, I smiled and smoothed the red dress out a little. Wearing only lip gloss and mascara. My dress wasn't too fancy, like I said it was red, but it was a summer outfit.
Keeping it casual was something I always did. And Griffin didn't say anything about it being fancy, so hopefully he won't mind.
"Y/n! We're ready!" My called from downstairs, they must be waiting by the door. Taking one last glance at myself, I headed down stairs.
Each step bringing me closer to my near end. An end that I had brought upon myself. One I'd never be able to change again.
"Ready sweetie?" Smiling at my dad, I said "yes" Before we headed out the door, leaving the house I'd never be returning to.

We were driving through different streets, my parents seemed to be genuinely confused to where we were supposed to be going.
"I said to turn down that last street!" I frustratedly yelled. Yes. We were stressed out and arguing with each other. "Well why didn't you say that before I passed it?!" My mum shouted back.
Rolling my eyes I slumped back into my seat, looking out side of the window. After a wee bit, I jolted as to spotting Griffins house. "There! There! It's that one!" I hurriedly shouted.
Aggressively pointing my finger at the house my dad, nodded his head "ok ok! I heard you!" A big smile was now on my face as we rolled up to his house.
"Honey, do we know these people? Their house looks familiar" my mom asked while looking at the old and tall structure. "No, you'll be meeting them tonight!" "Ok. Well let's go?"
We got out of the car, and locked it closed. Walking up to the door, the balconies floor boards creaked underneath us. My dad took a quick glance at both me and my mom before knocking.
The door opened before he could finish his last tap, and there stood Griffin. Who was grinning from ear to ear. "Hello! You two must be Mr and Mrs L/n! Y/n's parents, am I right?" "Yes! That's us" my dad happily confirmed.
Griffin nodded and stood aside, allowing us to walk into his house. Shutting the door behind my mom, he walked in front of us. "Just follow me, I'll take you to the dinning room"
With that, he began leading us. "Your friend seems familiar" Dad whispered to me, my mum hummed in agreement. "Maybe you've seen their parents?" I suggested. He just shrugged, not knowing where he could've seen Griffins parents.
We arrived in this big dinning room. A long and big ass table in the centre, with a red table table cloth. Trays of food were plated on the table.
While me and my parents were admiring the room, Griffin took a seat at the head of the table. "Please! Do take a seat" He gestured with his hands at the empty three seats.
They were down the table a bit more, meaning we sat four seats down from him. I sat down in the chair opposite him, which was the head of the table too. My parents took the seats on either side of me.
"Grab whatever you please! Don't hold back, I want you to enjoy this dinner!" Griffin pointed out, while grabbing a piece of steak for himself.
My parents quickly dug into the food, grabbing whatever their eyes landed on. Oh my gosh! Did they not eat beforehand?! "Dad! Mom! Show some respect, we aren't at home!" I whispered shouted, they paused for a moment before continuing, only this time they were slower.
