He stood there alone, watching the stars. His mother always showed him the stars at their previous house, the wonders it held just made him even more fascinated with space. But every time he asked any member of their family, the question was dodged.
This was the place he would always go to when he wanted to just be alone for a while. His family was amazing but more often than not, would actually drive him crazy. And don't let him get started on his Uncle Deadpool, the man was really a psycho in his own way.
Even his adoptive brothers were getting on his nerves. The overprotectiveness of Franklin, the stalky nature of Valeria and the overbearing Kamala were always surrounding him as if he was a child made of glass. Not even his own parents treated him in such a way. And actually, he could say that his parents were the most normal of the group.
He sighed a bit, his eyes growing wearing as time passed. Don't get him wrong, he knew perfectly well why his parents or any other member of their family didn't want to talk about space. It was the ultimate mystery, a mystery that someone found and unleashed against humanity.
"I wonder how you would have looked…" His voice was monotone, a hint of sadness being carried with his words. It had been a few years since his big brother died of a fatal illness that he had hereditated from his biological mother. Their father tried everything he could but with no technological advances left in the world, there was little to no hope. "I really miss you…"
Kenneth Parker-Sofen, the son of Spider-Man and Moonstone, was an exact replica of his father. Though instead of the brown hair and the hazel eyes his father had, he had blond hair and blue eyes just like his mother. He was described as the perfect mix of both of them by his uncle, the Wolverine. But there was not a single moment that he didn't pray to whoever was out there to allow him to see his older brother again.
"I think it's time…" Kenneth said, starting to float slightly as he began to turn around. But suddenly his senses flared, stopping his movements instantly. He closed his eyes, activating his bracelet, which began to create an armor all around him. It was the suit his father had during something he described as a Civil War between heroes and villains. But he never did like the color red, so he recolored the armor from red and gold to white and gold. In any case, he activated his powers as he turned around. "What do you-"
"Hello, brother…" Kenneth couldn't breathe right, his eyes immediately becoming watery as he watched a slightly older version of his brother. Though what surprised him was that he had the classic outfit that his father once used when he was a hero, though instead of the blue it was black. "I am going to need your help"
It was then that Kenneth narrowed his eyes a bit. The words of the Gerald Parker-Drew in front of him, was making him realize something. He remembered a story from his father, a story of the multiverse. Was the arachnid in front of him from a parallel reality? He had to know, to see if they also suffered what their family had suffered.
"You… You're not from around here, are you?" Kenneth lowered his arms, relaxing a bit as he flew closer to the probable brother of another reality. He landed on the floor, his eyes looking just as his brother also flew down to the ground. Gerald's mask lay hanging like a hoodie, while his own just disappeared from view.
"You guessed correctly, brother… And we need your help" It was the second time that he heard the petition, which probably nerved him quite a bit. While having the confirmation of the arachnid in front of him being his brother from an alternate reality, he didn't know anything about the petition. "I can see you are confused…" Kenneth, brought a brow up in confusion, noticing just how Gerald touched something over his wrist. In a matter of seconds, a light purple portal appeared in front of the two. "We have to save an alternate version of our father, or every reality may collapse. Are you in?"
Kenneth didn't hesitate to walk forward a bit. An alternate version of his father was in danger, the man who had done everything possible to make him have an easy life. But just being around your family for the entirety of his life was stressful. He wanted to meet other people, even if most of them were already dead because of the Death Plague.
"What do we have to do?" Kenneth could see Gerald entering through the portal without any other word. He looked back a bit, his mind trying to convince him to at least tell someone that he may not be around for a while. But not only an alternate version of his father was in danger, but the entire multiverse as well. Which meant his own reality was in danger, his family was in danger. So he breathed in and out, before walking through the portal as well.
