I almost wished I had never shown Dally, Grease. I wished I'd never agreed to Dally picking out the costumes. In fact, I should've known when he first mentioned it that he was up to no good.

Leather Sandy's hair was harder to do than people may think, which is why I decided to just simply curl my hair instead of all the things she had to do. They weren't regular curls, they were very tight curls that would bounce when I walked.

"Your costume was so easy, you wear that every day." Dally shrugged, I knew he only chose the costume to see me in leather.

"You said I got to choose," I muttered under my breath, crossing my arms. "C'mon, we gotta go get the gang." I nodded, following Dally up the steps to the Curtis house. I sighed, mentally preparing myself for the teasing from the gang.

"Hey, gang!" He yelled happily, quickly letting me inside.

"What the hell are you two dressed up as?" Two-Bit asked, laughing slightly. I felt my cheeks burn, as I sat down next to Dally. Johnny was awkward beside me, dressed as Frankenstein, intently fidgeting with the rips in his jeans. Ponyboy looked up, a bright pink blush covering his cheeks as he spoke up.

"Dally's Danny Zuko and Michelle's leather Sandy." I smiled, surprised that Ponyboy had seen the movie Grease, most guys thought it was a sappy love story so they wouldn't watch it unless their girlfriends forced them to.

"Yeah, they're from that movie Grease." Steve rolled his eyes.

"Evie made me watch that, I hated every second of it."

"How do you know about Grease, Pony?" Dally asked, chuckling as he raised an eyebrow. Ponyboy glanced at me, before glancing back at Dally his cheeks turning red.

"I hear girls talking about it at school, that's all."

That was a lie, I knew by the way he spoke that Ponyboy was lying.

"Mhm, can we just go to the party already?" Soda asked, obviously feeling impatient.

"Yeah, let's go."

I'd been to Bucks only a handful of times before, when Dally wanted to meet up there or wanted me to come over to his place instead of mine, and it always had an alcohol smell.

It wasn't overwhelming, but you could tell that people would drink there often. Now, it was as if you were bathing in a bottle of beer. I'd never drank anything with alcohol in it before because I didn't like how it made certain people act and I wasn't counting on drinking today either. I just tried to act like it didn't bother me.

Dally poured some concoction of alcoholic drinks into a cup, before turning to me.

"You wanna drink, doll?" I shook my head.

"I don't drink." Dally wasn't surprised, not a whole lot of Soc girls drank.

"This your girl, Dal?" A guy came around the corner, nodding his head towards me.

"Yeah." From Dally's short response, I guessed he wasn't fond of this guy. I couldn't tell if the guy was a Greaser or a Soc, it was too hard to tell.

"She ain't a Greaser, is she?" Dally shook his head, sliding his arm quickly around my waist. "She couldn't pass as a Greaser if she tried." He looked me up and down, making me feel less enthusiastic about the costume I was wearing. I knew I'd never pass as a Greaser, I was a natural-born Soc, and I couldn't pretend to be something I'm not.
