After their dinner at the caste, they threw a farewell party and bonded with Breeze and Tornado.
It's been two weeks since then, Heaven and Zeke have yet to meet again after that. Their days had passed by quickly; they were a bit sad the first few days as they adjusted to their lives without the rulers of Reino Aéreo but they eventually got over it.
They were all at the house wearing their training uniforms as they waited a few more minutes before they have to leave to attend their duels and training.
The day's duel is more special as there's a competition and some people from outside the Academy are attending to watch.
Victoria and Heaven would be a part of the few chosen people that will fight with the werewolves. Their knowledge of fighting had been a huge advantage as all of them already had the necessary skills.
The two had decided to bring along their weapons as they were more compatible with them. It was designed for them, and solely for them.
Heaven had a lot of tricks with her weapon as she can constantly change it to whatever she felt like using, be it a bow, spear, staff, etc.
Although of course, she'd only be using the double-bladed sword as the other changes require magic. One that only witches could be capable of.
"Are you all ready to leave now?" Valdimir asked as he played around with the key of the van.
"Yes!" Vic screamed in excitement as the others looked on at her amusedly.
All of them stood up and headed to the garage, making sure all doors are locked before they head out.
"Are you excited for the duels?" Aqualia inquired, directing her attention more to Heaven as it was already obvious with Vic, her eagerness to fight showing in her every action.
"I am. This will give me a chance to learn how creatures like them fight in a battle." Heaven answered.
"I overheard from the others that your destiny will be watching," Nadia asked making the other queen frown.
"Does he normally do that or was it just because he heard I'd be fighting today?"
"Hmm. It wasn't a rare occurrence that he comes to watch. He likes to surprise the students every once in a while from what I've gathered."
"Then today would be just like those other days." She stated while rolling her eyes. She shouldn't have, but she felt sad knowing today wasn't anything special.
"I wouldn't say that. Most people know he's there but it was said that they don't know which one he is. He has this thing that glamours up his face. They say that he looks different to every person, sometimes he just uses one face, still not his real one." Nadia said once again and everyone's attention is still on her. Not because of what she said though.
"Where do you even get all those information? You were never one to tattle with other people." Vic asked with knitted eyebrows.
"Students in my class love gossiping. I just happen to listen to all of them."
"Anyways, do you think that's true? Uriel never did mention anything about that glamour." Aqua said as she glanced at the others from the passenger's seat.
A flash of Zeke's face showed in their connection. 'That's how I saw him. What about you guys?' Victoria thought out.
"It's just the same for me," Acacia said as the others echoed out the same.
"It's probably not true then. That, or it doesn't work in any of us. Or he just didn't wear any of it that night." Nadia said as Valdimir parked the vehicle.
All of them got out and headed to each of their training sessions/duels.
Some of the students in the hallway stared at their unusual weapons. This being the first time they've brought them to the academy. They decided to use the ones in the academy for their past training and duels. Mítican weapons looked more medieval compared to the ones in the Academy which are more modern looking.
Heaven has her twin swords sheathed on her back.
"Wanna spar a bit before our turn later?" Vic asked.
"What makes you think we won't go first?"
"I didn't think of that. I was just hoping we could warm up before the fight." Heaven just chuckled at her. Not bothering to reply as they entered the Arena.
The tug on her soul indicated that her destiny is already inside. She turned her attention to it and saw Zeke in the audience area looking simple wearing jeans and a plain white shirt.
A light frown fell upon the King's face as he met her amethyst eyes. Carter elbowed him lightly as they talked.
Heaven observed him a few moments more as they talked, also taking notice of the other audience beside them who seems uninterested in the two.
'They still look the same to me' Vic said through their connection.
'Same. It's such a pity we can't read thoughts.' She said.
'Do you think it's true? The glamour he puts up?'
'It's that or the other audience who can see them simply doesn't care about nobility.'
They finished their conversation as Master Evan walked up to them with his tablet.
"Both of you are fighting third. First-round is a two-on-two if you win. You get to fight individually on the last round which is the third." He told them before taking a glance at their weapons.
"You're using your own weapons in this duel?" he asked for confirmation.
"Yes. Is that alright?" Heaven asked worriedly, she really wanted to use her weapon.
"It is. But I have to check them and make sure it's in a good condition." He paused. "It's also to guarantee that there's no cheating involved." The two nodded.
"I just have to finish with this and I'll get back to you to check on those weapons." He said and they nodded. He left quickly and the two of them went to the backroom to spar for a bit.
They didn't need to tell anyone where they were headed as Master Evan can follow their scent.
The two of them sparred for a few minutes, warming up their swords as they used different techniques and speeds. Usually, they use their powers in friendly spars like this, but they can't risk getting caught.
The closing of the door interrupted their deadly dance for a moment, quickly finishing their fight. The two of them glanced at their audience and found Zeke and Master Evan looking at them in wonder.
"I have never seen the both of you spar like that with anyone in our classes. Not even when we merged class with the werewolves." He said sounding a bit surprised at the techniques he saw.
"Well, most students in our class are not trained the same way we did. Doing that kind of technique would overwhelm them." Vic told him as the couple stared at each other once again, lost in their own world.
"As for the werewolves, we simply didn't feel like being subjected to their constant need to show off whose stronger and all those things they seem to do all the time." She said again and the trainer nodded.
"Have you met the Hybrid King?" he asked and she nodded.
"Hey Zeke, I heard you wear a glamour all the time. Is that just a rumour or is it true?" Vic inquired as she looked at him boldly.
The King just raised his brows with how he was addressed as Heaven's lips lifted a bit in reaction to her friend's question.
She stared at Zeke too, waiting for his response to the question.
"It is true. It doesn't work on Heaven since she's my beloved. It's one of my gifts from my vampire side." He answered.
"Did you wear one at the dinner two weeks ago?" Heaven asked curiously.
"That's a secret, love." He told her teasingly.
