Scenes at breakfast had become a routine.
Many of the people on my table were NOT morning people which is quite visible on their grumpy faces.
And as far as Aakarsh is concerned his cold grumpiness just drops by -10 degrees in the morning.
But Today he's not that confrontational "Why do people even exist" grumpy.
He's unusually blank and quite. The silence is killing me personally after last night's rendezvous.
Flashbacks of his smile were haunting me now.
Before I could think about the supernatural experience a chirpy voice interrupted us.
"Hey! Uhm... Are you guys using this chair?" She asked pointing a finger at the empty chair next to our table.
"NO!" All of us, ALL of us answered that made her flinch.
"Whoa, uh ... Okay, uhm thanks.. ya" she said and left with the chair.
A small smile made its way to my lips and I found myself snorting.
"I guess we should all just have some breakfast" I said getting up walking towards the counter.
"Before we eat someone up" Aaisha said.
Vihaan opened his mouth a smirk playing on his lips.
"NO!" Aaisha snapped at him before he could utter a single word.
"No practicing dirty pick up lines in the morning, shhh!" She snapped again.
"Okay! Fine! I'll get myself breakfast,you coming?" Vihaan asked her in his defeated voice.
"Yup!" Aaisha chirped and all of us got up to take our first meal for the day.
We were back on the table and myself Naina Aaisha Jay and Vihaan we were all talking about how who's not a breakfast person and who is a foodie and just random stuff when I saw Aakarsh who sat to my opposite sliding an earphone into his ears irritated by all of us an eye roll coming our way.
"Such a grump!" I muttered
Maybe it was loud
Because Aakarsh cocked his eyebrow in a "I heard you" way.
To which I narrowed my eyes at him in a "You think I care?" way.
And then his eyes grew small he tilted his head in a "Can you please stop talking?" Way.
We were having a head on eye language contest when one more chirpy voice interrupted us.
God! How the heck are people so cheery early in the morning.
"Hey! Uhm.. I'm Veronica" she said flashing her smile to all of us.
She wore a crop top and yoga pants and she was giving me the "I was born cute" vibes with her short curly hair.
Only Vihaan replied back to her.
Duh! Ofcourse.
"Oh hey morning sunshine,how may I help you?" He said trying to make THE FLYNN RIDER SMOLDER FACE!
and miserably failed at it.
Sunshine??? Really??
To which she smirked.
Smirked!? Gurl...
"So uhm... We've seen you have a large group and you're all our age so we're having a night party along the river side tonight... So it would be fun if you joined us... I mean it's a big space... The more the merrier right?" She finished talking breathlessly like Vihaan.
All of us blinked looking at each other for some answer.
"Well we have barbeque and drinks!" She exclaimed like a salesperson trying to convince the customer.
"We're in"
"Let's go!"
Both Vihaan and Aaisha exclaimed at the word drinks!
Made for each other I say.
"Ohh Noice! So see you at 10 in the night near the river bank. And yeah we're doing a potluck kinda stuff for the food so if...." Her eyes trailed off looking at Vihaan with a dark look.
"I'm sure you have some delicious stuff to EAT!" she said in her most flirtatious tone that actually came like a whisper of a strangled puppy.
It wasn't sensual at all... God!
Vihaan was now blushing and all of us watched the girl in horror while Aakarsh was rolling his eyes looking like an embarrassed father.
She walked away winking at Vihaan.
"Dude! We should totally go" Vihaan said with an awe in his eyes.
"Yeah, it's time to party! And we have drinks....FREE DRINKS!" Aaisha chirped.
"Despos!" I blurted out totally uninterested.
"I think we should go... I mean ofcourse we don't know them and it's not necessary to drink we can have fun right?" Naina said a little unsure but I could say she wanted to go.
"What? You too Naina I mean we don't know them....and... Like ..." But before I could complete someone interrupted me.
"I don't think you mind company Miss aarohi" Samrat flashed his smile at me.
"Oh so you guys are invited too?" I asked smiling back.
Why the heck am I smiling?
"Yeah, all the star trekkers are" samyukta said.
"See! Now I don't think there's a problem" Jay said assuring me.
"Uh... Yeah... Okay fine" I said still unsure of how this would turn out.
"OWWW yeaahhh, we'll all dress up" Naina chirped to which myself and Aaisha made a face.
"Okay okay we will, I think I packed a nice party top, just in case you know" I said laughing.
And then I looked at Aakarsh.
Parties= people= Annoying=Annoyed Aakarsh.
"He's tagging along,aaro" Vihaan said smiling at Aakarsh "aren't you? Aakarsh" he asked.
To which Aakarsh took his plate and walked away putting an earphone in his ear.
Is he the great great grandson to the Grinch?
I shrugged getting up from my seat.
Duh! I knew it already.
"We'll all make sure he's a part this time" Jay tapped Vihaan's shoulder.
"Oh he is so going to come or else I'll blackmail him by saying that Aaisha will make up a rumour about how much you love talking to people,and you love being called Crashy!" He said evilness glinting in his eyes.
"Ha! You're evil Vihaan" Aaisha said winking at him.
To which he winked back.
Okay I'm habituated now so no eeww
And I thought to myself let's do this. Either way this party will be a memorable one.
Good or bad? Well we're going to find that out soon.
