2. Im So Cool

Author's note: you guys know i love you but like, i need to cause atleast some chaos in your lives

Carmen's pov:

I was walking around then i saw luisa looking drained. I walk up to her, "hey" "hi" "you feeling ok?" "Alittle bit tired but i'll make it till after antonio's ceremony" "alright, tho we do have to go, its almost 5pm and the party has probably started" we arrive at the casita and camilo is greeting everyone, luisa starts doing what ever she does for the tickets and donkeys and i walk up to the entrance where camilo is. "Good evening mi hermosa" he says bowing as he kisses my hand. I roll my eyes and walk in. I sit down quietly as i watch the room fill up with people, mirabel sit down next to me and we start talking and getting to know each other. "So...one question, why do you always volunteer to help luisa with her chores?" "Well she's being overworking, yeah she's the strongest of us but she's also still human and will need atleast some breaks" "mhmm ok ok that good" she looks around and nods at someone, confusing but i'll play along "what year are you from? Like what year is it where you're from?" "Uhm 2022" "cool!" We keep talking and then she saw someone and smirks, i felt a tap on my shoulder and i look over to see it was camilo, "hey" "hi" i said raising my eyebrow. "Can you uhm, can you please come with me i need to ask you something before the ceremony" "sure" i follow him outside and he turned to face me, "do you know how to summon animals like you can summon rocks?" "I've never tried that before" "can you please try" i close my eyes and stick my hand out for a small bird to land on, except. I feel a heavy bird on my shoulder, i wanted to jump but i couldn't scare away the giant bird, "an andean condor" i said breathy, camilo looks scared, proud, shocked and whatever else he looked like he was feeling, "ok ok ok so, you hide that in my room and then once antonio's door is opened and he gets what mirabel thinks he'd get, come out with that and gift is to him" "sure but like how am i gonna do that" he takes off his ruana and carefully wraps it around the bird "huh neat" i cover the head of the bird and sneak into camilo's room, i close the door and the the bird roam free around the shapeshifting room. I stick out my arm again and it landed on my shoulder. "This is sooo not in the movie" i saw as i look at the bird "oh my god gurl you be lookin' so majestic" i praise and i guess it understood me because it fucking nodded at me. I wait until i hear cheering, i do what we practiced and Andea landed on my shoulder, i go outside and antonio looked shocked as i sent the bird to him,  the bird made whatever bird noises it made and antonio nodded, he giggled and looked at me and then at camilo "she said she was called by camilo and his girlfriend" he said, a cheeky grin on his face as everyone looked at me and camilo, "ay dont look at me i was only asked to summon a small bird not a whole ass andean condor" some giggled and some look at me with questionable looks, i shrug and andea im guessing told antonio to open his door already because he opened it and we saw an amazing rainforest room, or whatever it is. We all went in as some set up the party and some were in awe. I didn't waste my time i am not lettign the perfect opportunity gi to waste, i ran up to one of the vine and made sure it was secure, years of training how to rope dance will not be wasted. I spin around the vine and then jumped to catch myself on another vine. I climb up to the top to see if the room had any limits but i didn't see any, "ay! Carmen be careful!" I heard someone say, wait how did they know my name? And why do i hear a branch snapping, before i could sprout a tree, the branch broke and someone caught me, luisa. Aw this is why she's my favorite character. "Gotcha" she says and smile proudly, "thanks luisa" isabela walked up to me with her arms crossed, "what in your brain made you think that was safe" "honestly i have a death wish so" i say as i shrug. She rolls her eyes and walks away. Its true i do have a death wish. I ignore everyone who asked if i was ok, or just told them to focus on antonio. Because i didn't want the attention i just wanted to see if antonio's room were just a big ass room or the actual rain forest. I still dont have my answer, i sit down and admire the place. Until. "Everyone! This is a perfect time for a picture!" The Madrigals gathered around except for mirabel. I see her walk out ajd i let her have her moments, i am not letting her miss out on that iconic song. An hours or so later mirabel came in looking worried, "its casita! She breaking!" I didn't bother stand up i already know what was coming, everyone came back in and continued on the celebration but i went outside to comfort mirabel, she was sitting in a corner outside. "Hey Mirabel, dont worry. I believe you" "you do?" "Well yeah i got here because i feel into a crack on the ground and you expect me to not believe other crazy things are happening?" She laughs, "thanks that cheered me up alittle" "anytime" "so do you wanna go back to the party?" "Yeah sure" we went back and i hung out with her the rest of the night, it ended soon enough so i can finally sleep, ah my only happiness. I plop down the bed and fell asleep immediately. The next morning i was again changed into a cool outfit this time it was scarlett red and plain white. I sat up and saw that camilo has also just woken up, "good morning" he said with a wide smile. God why is his morning voice so hot? "Uhm good morning!" "We'll get called for breakfast later so we should get ready" he said getting up but then stopped when he looked at me "do you see a floating head or something?" "Uh! No! Sorry i just realized you're already ready sorry" he continued to go into the bathroom and probably was there until Julieta called us over for breakfast. Shit i almost forgot that this is when shit goes down. Alma is doing her usual speech and im listening to eat, how are these people so energetic how are they getting all of this energy, i feel someone nudge me as alma finishes her speech. It was camilo, "hey wanna help me with my chores?" "Sure i got nothing else to do" i follow him and help around the village. I never got to actually have a full on conversation with him so i ask him if we could talk and he agreed. I make a tall tower so no one could distract either of us. "What did you wanna talk about?" "Honestly i just wanted to get to know you"  he chuckles and starts talking. "What's your favorite color?" "That alittle basic. But its green" "mine's yellow" "clearly, what's your biggest fear?" "Losing my powers" "why?" "Because i feel like its a part of who i am" "funny. Because your powers do not define you" "but...i dont know what else does" "your personality camilo." "I dont think i have that" "huh?" "I dont think i have a personality" "what makes you think that?" "Im always, someone else. People only need me to be someone else. I've never seen anyone want to see me for just me." "Well i wanted to see you to be judt you. That's why i wanted to get to know you" "i guess so.." he smiles looking down. "But that not all i wanted to know abiut you." "What else?" "Do you like taking risks?" "Hell yeah!" He smiled cheerfully i take his hand and i jump off the tower with him. He laughs as we land on a coconut tree and back down on the ground. We looked at each other and laughed, until. Mirabel and Dolores clear their throats holding baskets
