EPILOGUE
"Okay, ladies and gentlemen, I'm selling at fifty-three thousand pounds. Going once... Going twice... SIXTY."
I gasp in shock after hearing how much it's going for. BANG!
"SOLD, to the gentleman sitting next to the artist herself... Congratulations, Mr Beezman, if you'd like to see my assistant at the end of the auction that would be great. Now for our next lot..."
While he carried on with his auction, I turn to look up at my husband.
"What the hell are you doing? You've just bought my painting, with our money. What the hell, Beezman?"
He's grinning and I want to slap his beautiful dish but... Christ, he looks so freaking cute when he does it. Damn him and those dimples.
"I told you, I didn't want anyone to have it. Besides, we'll only lose the commission. The painting was already yours, so you know what's yours and all."
"Unbelievable! Johnathan, you're unbelievable."
He leaned in, making sure nobody can hear him, telling me, he'll do the same with all my other paintings.
"You can't do that, John! How do you expect others to see them when you keep bloody buying them all?"
"Oh, they'll see them... just not in anyone's gallery, but ours."
Crazy, he's utterly crazy.
"Come on, let's go home. I have a huge urge to strip you naked and fuck you until the sun comes up again."
Almost instantly, my body buzzes with the anticipation of how he'll do it. Yes, I said yes. I had agreed to stay with him, and I can honestly say it was one of the greatest decisions I've ever made in my life. Saying "I do" was right up there. The moment I agreed to stay with him, he picked me up and swung me around with a huge smile on his face. His laughter and his happiness were so infectious I joined in with his excitement. But there was a matter of Vincent Martin. Not only him, but Paris, too.
Flashback...
"Come on, we'll talk more at home." He said, taking hold of my hands.
Almost instantly, causing tingles to run up my arm. Though, I don't move, and it made him turn back.
"What's wrong?" He asked, and I shook my head.
"Johnathan, I still need to tell Vin. He's waiting for me. We were um... We..."
"You were to leave with him to Paris. Yeah, I know. He told me all about that. I can't say I was happy about it, but I get why now."
This made me smile, but it's a sad smile. It's only because what I'm about to do will probably hurt him. However, by the time I make it back downstairs, Vin's standing there. He's there with my bags and a smile on his face. Unfortunately, I also see the sadness in his eyes. He knows I've made my decision.
"Vin, I... We... Shit, I don't know how to say this? I think..."
He shook his head, telling me "It was only a matter of time."
"Kat, I knew from the moment you told me how you felt about him. I knew you weren't for Paris or anywhere else."
I take a deep breath and look down at my bags. I'm wondering what he'll do now? Naturally, I ask this.
"I think I'll go still."
"What, seriously you'll go alone? What about me? I mean, you're my best friend. I'll miss you. Vin, there's no one over there."
After shrugging his shoulder, he grins again.
"Kat, I had no one here, and I was fine. Yeah, you're my best friend too but you have a good, thing here and he loves you. You'll be fine. Besides, we'll still talk and shit. I mean, you have my number. You could even visit too, both of you. You know, if you wanted to. This is your time now. I'm still to find mine and you never know I might find it there."
He wrapped his arms around me after telling me, he best get going. Naturally, I wrap my arms around his waist and hug him.
"Damn it. I'm going to miss you Kitty-Kat."
I end up chuckling when he says this. Shit, he's no idea how much I'm gonna miss him. I tell him this too and after a few more moments of just standing like this, I pull back. It's after I feel Johnathan. touch my hip. Then, after wiping away a few fallen tears, I tell him again how sorry I am.
"Hey, none of that now... Okay, I'm going before you make me bawl my eyes out. That look seriously won't go with my 'convict' look you know."
We end up laughing, but instead of leaving it there, I go in for another hug.
"I love you, Vin... Promise me you'll take care of yourself? Remember, you'll always have me. I'll be here if you need anything."
"Same here, sweetheart... same here. I promise I'll do my best." He pulls back before reaching out his hand, waiting for Johnathan to resuscitate. I'm thinking he won't accept it, but then he surprises me when he does.
"Look after her man. She's a good, egg, a tough one to crack. Especially when she's set on something, but she's a good one all the same."
Yeah, I end up rolling my eyes. "Good egg" indeed.
"Na, she's a diamond. She's unbreakable."
Oh God, what is he trying to do to me?
"Okay, well, I'll call when I get there. I know how you worry. So yeah, take care of yourself, Kat. Remember, be happy."
End of flashback...
"Hey, you okay?" Johnathan asked.
I'm lost in a world of my own, thinking about my friend.
"Yeah, I'm good. I still can't believe we're bringing my paintings back home. Hell, how am I meant to make my millions? Shit, especially if you keep on buying them."
After chuckling, he took hold of my hand finally bringing it to his lips.
"Baby, we don't need millions. We have each other and that's all we need."
"You're a sweet soppy bugger, aren't you? However, you're forgetting one thing." I tell him while he manoeuvres his car through the traffic.
"Oh, and what's that?" He asks while placing my hand on his lap.
"Well, you wanted me and you got me. You wanted me to move in with you, so I did. Then you wanted me to marry you, and we did that. I wanted to make my millions, but it's not happening anytime soon. So, it looks like I have to make do with our last wish."
I'm watching, waiting for his reaction. I'm expecting him to know what I'm saying, but his brows just nip together. Then as I'm about to tell him he pulled up into our street, eventually, into our driveway. No, we don't live above the gallery. We live in a beautiful five-bedroom cottage. It's one set in the middle of nowhere. Obviously, we're not that far from town, what with work and all. But I wanted a house one to call home. Granted, there are nights we stay there still, but eight times out of ten we go home.
"Okay, well, are you going to fill me in? I've no idea of what else we need." He said, and Mrs Franks walked out of our home. She's with Trevor and a few work colleges.
"What the hell are they doing here? Kat, what's going on? Why the hell are they wearing overalls and covered in blue paint too?"
"You honestly don't know?" I ask and again, his brows nip together.
After stepping out, I walk around to his side and open his door.
"Come on, let's go. I need to show you something."
I take hold of his hand, and that's when I ask Trevor if everything's done? To which he nods his head telling me, it's all set to go.
"Thanks, everyone, you're all the best. Now go on, get to the pub. We'll be there soon."
As they leave, Johnathan asked, why are we going to the pub? To which I respond with, "Patience is a virtue, baby. Come on."
While I still have a hold of his hand, I guide us upstairs. I want to show him his surprise, one I've known about this for a little while now. Today was only an excuse, one to get him out of our home. While we've been at the auction house I've been stalling him, waiting for the call to tell me it's finished. Before I open the door though, he asks why we're here.
"Wait, have you finally set the red room up? You know the one you keep on talking about?"
This made me laugh and after shaking my head, I tell him "That's for another time. Okay, close your eyes." He did as I asked, but that's after he'd pouted his lip. Once we'd stepped inside, the smell of fresh paint hits us. Oh boy, they've done an amazing job.
"Okay, Mr Beezman, you can open your eyes now."
I'm watching him again, waiting for his reaction, but he just stands there stunned into silence. Well, that's until I watched his eyes fill with water.
"Seriously, you're pregnant? We... We're having a boy?"
"Yeah, baby, we're pregnant."
He suddenly breaks out into a burst of laughter, and as he does this, he picks me up. I'm laughing with him while I wrap my arms around the back of his neck just to support myself.
"Holy shit! Honey, that's the best news I've heard since... Well, since you'd agreed to be my wife. Holy crap, and it's a boy? Are we seriously having a boy?"
"Yeah, well, I'm not sure it's a boy. If not, then we'll redecorate this together. You know, just the three of us."
"What, why three? Who-"
He smiled when I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, right, the baby. Aha. I can't believe this, this is amazing. Fuck me, I love you Mrs Beezman. I love you so bloody much." He ends that by kissing me, which eventually turns a little heated.
"Mr Beezman, we need to get to the pub. They're all waiting."
"Oh, fuck no. That's not happening. Not right now anyway. Baby, I'm stripping you naked and instead of fucking the shit out of you... I'm making love to you."
I end up pouting because I was excited about him doing it.
"Baby, you fucking me won't harm the baby. Now strip me naked, and do as you're told." I demand, making him grin.
"Oh fuck, yes mam."

Some months later...
"Congratulations Mr and Mrs Beezman, it's a beautiful baby girl. Do you have a name yet?"
We both smile, knowing exactly what we're naming her.
"Yeah, her name is Josie Vera-Lynn. Josie after my sister, Vera after my mother, and Lynn after Johnathan's mum."
The nurse smiled, telling us it's beautiful.
"I love you, Katelya, so bloody much."
He placed a gentle kiss against my lips. Then after placing another to our baby's head, I tell him I love him, too.
"Forever, my King Bee."
"Always, my Queen Bee, always."
