"Yes, Jungkook. Just now the Principal called me. Can you believe it? I am not even sure if they are simply labeling our daughter for such nonsense acts. I am sure Ari would never do such things." Seokjin was rambling through his phone while putting the laundry inside the machine and switching it on.
After his return from the market, he dropped Jimin's items in his house and came back to his own. It took him few minutes to arrange everything, and once he did his job, he called his husband to inform about the call.
"We will know which is the truth once we go there, baby~" Jungkook sweetly said while closing a file that he was supposed to check. 'It could wait because right now this call was important.'
Seokjin sighed heavily and plugged in the vacuum cleaner to clean the house. His phone was on speaker so he didn't have to keep it in his ears to listen to his husband.
"You are right, Kookie~ Maybe I am over reacting."
"Exactly, Jinnie~ Are you sure you would go by yourself? I can wrap up the work or postpone the meeting to be with you." A giddy smile played over Seokjin's lips while thinking about his husband caring for him in a cute way.
"I can go, Kookie~ I will let you know once the meeting is over. But I think we should check on Ari from now on. She is always stuck to her phone nowadays." A sigh left Jungkook's lips while he cleaned his head back on the chair.
"You would get angry if I said 'I told you so'. But let's trust on our daughter, okay? Maybe we can give her time off to use mobile once she did all her work." Seokjin knew that his husband was right. He was one who pressured Jungkook to buy mobile for their daughter since Ari never spoke to him. Maybe, he thought if he bought her a mobile, Ari would be normal but it just got backfired.
"Alright, honey. We will talk with her once we reach our home. Take care, don't work too hard~" Seokjin mumbled making Jungkook to imagine how cute his husband would be pouting right now.
"I will, baby~ Also I will have my lunch right now which my handsome husband had prepared for me~" Jungkook cutely said with a smile to which Jin's heart jumped a bit. He loved whenever Jungkook complimented his cooking. Even though it was everyday, he would never get tired of it.
"Eat stomach fully, Kookie~ I will also eat and take rest before I go."
"That's my good boy~" Jungkook purred on the mobile phone and he could feel Seokjin blushing on the phone. Jin would always get turned on whenever Jungkook called him 'Good boy' or praised him generally.
"Bye, baby~"
"Bye, sweetheart~" The two hung the call and proceeded to do their job. It took thirty minutes for Seokjin to clean every room and in the mean time the laundry was ready. He put it in the dryer and went to have lunch. After finishing everything, he proceeded to water the plants and he could hear some music sound from the neighbor's house.
"They are still practicing, it seems." Jin mumbled while watering his garden. He felt sweat forming on his body with the sun shining right on his face. After tending the garden, he rushed to the dryer to fold the clothes and keep it in everyone's closet.
When he finished his work, he looked at the clock to find that it was already 3.30 pm. The ride to school would take ten minutes, so he had no time to take a nap. He was stinky and sweating from all the work. He rushed to his bathroom to take a quick shower and changed his attire to a blue shirt and black jeans.
After combing his hair properly, he called his husband about him leaving the house. Jungkook had told him that he would join him once the meeting was over. Seokjin drove the car and reached in fifteen minutes. After parking it, he rushed to the class to find most of the parents already looking for their children's class.
He ran to the stairs by knowing that his daughter was in second floor. He reached the designated class and walked inside to find some parents already talking with teachers. His eyes wandered over the students to find his daughter giggling and talking with some other girls.
Seokjin frowned when he saw his daughter not being serious. He walked inside and looked at Ari who was nudged by her friends telling her that he was here.
The face which was giggling right now changed to a disappointed one. It felt like, Ari didn't like having Seokjin in this class. He could see some girls talking behind Ari and laughing out. His daughter's face soon turned into an angry one, and she rushed to her father before gripping his arms.
"What are you doing here?" Jin was shocked to see Ari's cold behavior.
"I was asked to come here for the meeting. What's wrong?" Ari rolled her eyes in annoyance and looked back at her friends who was still giggling at her interaction with Jin.
"Ari's parents?" Soon the tension between the father and daughter broke off when a teacher called them. Seokjin smiled awkwardly and pulled Ari to walk together. But his heart broke when his daughter shook his arms from the hold and walked behind him.
"It's me, mam." The teacher named Kim Sohyun gave the report card to Seokjin who immediately took it with a bow. His eyes widened in shock when he saw the grades his daughter had scored. He could clearly see the difference in the grades few months ago and now. He turned to his daughter who was looking everywhere but him.
The teacher asked Jeon Ari to be outside since she had to speak with Seokjin privately. After making sure that his daughter was out of sight, he concentrated on the teacher's words.
"Mr. Jeon Seokjin, we are quite disappointed with your daughter's performance in academics. She is showing no interest in the studies and always hanging out with some girls in cafe shops.
Students nowadays think that we don't watch them. But we have spies and we got reports on Ari about her bunking classes and going to parks and cafes. If this continues, she might not get into a good college with her performance in the upcoming years.
We are in digital world, and it's easy if we send the grades in emails. But most children are smart that they see the mail first and delete it before their parents could check out. So that's why we meet parents in person to talk about their children."
"B-But Ari is a good girl, cher. She was an ace in everything."
"And we don't deny it. But please do check on her activities. She is being mean and bullying some students too. The teacher can only look after the students when they are in school. It's parent's duty to watch out for their kids and make sure that they are going in a good path.
Not only me but all the teachers who are handling Ari's classes have complained about her lack of interest. We can't pressure a child to study, and we can't torture her to study when she don't want to. Talk with her and be open minded.
If she is not interested in college or studies, ask what her interests are. This school offers the best education and many are waiting to get enrolled. If Ari is going to waste your money and going to end up like this then this seat might be beneficial for some other child who is interested in studies."
Seokjin could feel his head spinning and he was maintaining so hard to not pass out. He can't let Ari to drop out from school or not go to college. But he also knew that the teacher was saying right. If Ari doesn't have interest in studies, she was wasting one seat where any other child could use it to achieve in their future.
"I-I will talk with her, mam~"
