Jeon Jungkook and Jeon Seokjin were proudly sitting in the chairs and waiting for their daughter Ari to give her speech. Jackson was wiggling his legs on the chair while waiting for his sister on the stage.
That's right, today was the Jeon Ari's graduation day. And she was the valedictorian this year.
Though her performance was only lower on one term, she managed to score excellent in the upcoming exams. Her academic performance was outstanding and she was asked to give the speech on the graduation day.
"Jeon Ari." When the name was announced on the speakers, Seokjin and Jungkook clapped loudly and were standing by waving their hands for their daughter.
Ari who was nervously standing in the line, felt ease when she saw her parents cheering for her. With a smile she walked on the stage and received her certificate and medal. Jungkook turned on his camera and started to record when Ari stood before the microphone stand.
She licked her lips nervously and she didn't know what she was going to speak. She told herself to not write down things, and go on with the flow.
"My warmly welcome to all the teachers and parents who have come here to see their children and students getting graduated. To every parent, this day is the most important day in their lives than we think. Seeing their children on a stage and receiving a certificate of graduation would be every parents dreams.
And I am honored that I was given an opportunity to speak today with everybody here. I speak on behalf of all the students who have studied here.
Studying and getting marks was not easy. It was a tough phase for every student, with exams happening every week. And some strive too hard while some wouldn't be bothered. I was someone who had experienced both.
Maybe the reason why I felt lethargic could be the old me who always studies. Enjoyment is also a part of our lives. But it should come with a strict rules too. And I am happy that my parents had taught me how to enjoy my life by keeping up with school.
And the way is by being with your family. Spending time with your loved ones would ease away the stress you have in school. Speaking your heart out by trusting them that they would support you no matter what.
This is our last day in this school, and all I want to say is, whatever you choose to do in your life, do it like you mean it. It could either be college or work or some other sorts of things. But if you love it, go for it. And also don't forget to get your parents blessings.
Thank you! And now I ask all the students to stand up and take your hats off your head."
Jungkook and Seokjin giggled by seeing the other students taking their hats off and holding it in their hands.
"Now let's say it together. LETS ENJOY WHAT WE LOVE~" Ari shouted in the microphone and threw her hat off with students mirroring her action. The auditorium was filled with laughter and claps after seeing their children shouting and cheering for their hard work.
Jungkook made sure to take every moment of his daughter in this day. Seokjin and his husband walked outside the auditorium to get some fresh air. The students were busy in taking photos with their friends, so their parents gave the space.
"I was wondering if we can go out on a family trip." Seokjin sighed while letting out his thoughts to Jungkook. He sat on the bench that was placed in the garden of their school. Jungkook smiled by hearing his husband's idea and nodded his head while sitting beside Seokjin.
"That's great. Maybe we can plan for Europe trip and it might be a surprise graduation gift for our daughter." Seokjin who was closing his eyes to feel the wind blowing at his face with sun shining perfectly, opened his eyes wide in shock.
"I-I meant like for an amusement park trip, Jungkook."
Jungkook laughed like he heard the best joke of the year. But soon it disappeared when he saw Seokjin looking at him with furrowed eyes.
"Wait, are you serious?"
"Of course, I am. I know it's Ari's senior high school graduation but I just want to be with her. You know, she would be busy once her band gets debuted. She would be traveling overseas for their promotion and concerts and stuffs. And we might not able to spend time with her."
Jin pouted and his eyes darted to his daughter who was having fun by taking photos with her teachers. Jeon Jungkook smiled by imagining their daughter becoming success in the field which she is passion about.
"Right, so we can go now after Ari arrives?" Jin nodded and called his son Jackson who was standing awkwardly in the crowd tagging along with his sister. He immediately ran to his parents and sat between them happily.
The Jinkook couple were patiently waiting for their daughter who came running to them with a big bunny smile. Her parents hugged her tightly and kissed on her forehead.
"We are so proud of you, Ari~" Jungkook and Jin said in unison before engulfing their son in the hug since he was poking and finding some space to join the hug.
"Well, I have a great news to tell you guys." Ari bit her lips shyly and looked at her parents who were confused by their daughter's words.
"The Cypher 4 is going to debut next month." The Jinkook couple's jaw dropped by hearing the fantastic news.
"W-What? I thought it was in June month." Seokjin said with a pout to which Jungkook chuckled and Ari rolled her eyes in teasing way.
"Dad, right now May month is going on. Don't you ever see calendar?" Ari teased her father who was shocked and saw Jungkook nodding at his silliness.
"Yes, baby. Time did run so fast."
"Oh my god, that's awesome." Seokjin jumped on the ground and clapped his hands like a seal. Soon the family found themselves in a group hug and jumping up and down by how excited they were for their daughter's success.
